20th Annual USRA Fall Nationals this Weekend
Happy, Texas (10/22/19) – Weekend action found Rodney Sanders continuing his late-season, hot streak in his Wichita Tank Racing No. 20 Kenny’s Tile/ ARMI Contractors/ MB Customs/ Hatfield Racing Engine Modified. He swept the USRA Modified action during the Mark Rogers Memorial at Route 66 Motor Speedway.
Sanders now holds 18 victories this season.
“Man, our car is rolling really great right now, and we had a great weekend at Amarillo. I want to thank Wichita Tank Racing for boosting Friday night’s feature to $2,500 to win, and I also want to thank Chance McDaniels for letting me drive his SportMod. We came up one spot short of the big win in that big show, but I had a blast,” Sanders stated. “This weekend I’m looking forward to racing at Vado Speedway Park for another big check.”
Rodney Sanders traveled to Route 66 Motor Speedway (Amarillo, Texas) on Friday evening, pulling double duty for the two-day Mark Rogers Memorial. After starting the night with a heat race victory in the USRA Modified ranks, Sanders rolled to his 17th win of the season from his second-starting spot in the feature to pick up the $2,500 payday.
The following night, Rodney locked his spot into the USRA Modified finale with a heat race win. Starting in the fourth position, Sanders cruised to his 18th win of the season to capture the $2,500 prize.
In the Chance McDaniels-owned No. 3D SportMod, Rodney scored a runner-up finish in the $10,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday night.

This weekend, October 25-27, Sanders will enter the 20th annual Rancho Milagro USRA Fall Nationals at the brand-new Vado Speedway Park (Vado, New Mexico). The weekend is headlined by a $20,000-to-win finale on Sunday evening.
