any locals planning on running the half?

especially...
Kloos?
Smith?
B. Faust?

and will Moyer Sr be running as well, or only Jr?

thanks in advance.

Billy Jr. that runs at Poplar bluff is actually the Third Billy Moyer. I'm guessing the one on the list is the dirty dozen member.

alright. that's all a little confusing. I know that came up on a past thread where no one could quite get it figured out. I know Jr. just started and didn't know if he'd already be trying the half.

This kills me. I have heard people call Billy Moyer, Billy Moyer Jr. for a long time. The i was reading an article in something once and it asked the question about what a lot of people do not know about you. He answered by saying that he is not Billy Moyer Jr, that is his son. I know, his dad is also Bill Moyer but they are not Sr, Jr, and III. This is a clip I took out from his website bio page. Notice it says Billy Jr. is his son. Maybe this will clear things up a little. Things are going to be very confusing now that his son is racing late models as well.

Name: William Kent Moyer

Hometown: Des Moines, IA

DOB: 10/19/57

Current Residence: Batesville, AR

Family: wife - Joyce; sons - Cody, Jody & Billy Jr.; grandson - Logan Riley

Height: 5'11"

Weight: 182lbs

Hair: black

Eyes: green

Left or Right Handed: right

On the Moyer confusion, we tend to go through this once a year and now with Little Billy in late models it adds to the chaos. Billy Moyer (Mr Smooth/5x World 100 winner/Reigning WoO Champ) is NOT a Jr. His father is also named William so early in his career people refered to him as Junior to distinguish. They have different middle names. Then Joyce and Billy have an 18-yr-old son, William Kent Moyer, Jr, and that is Little Billy. So technically the Moyer we all know is William Kent Moyer, Sr, so if you really want to win a bet with a buddy on who Babb drives for, let them say "Moyer Sr." because Bill Moyer (of Des Moines and Car City fame) is the eldest of the three Williams but IS NOT a Sr.

Whew...

As for Shirley and if he will be at Tri-City. Plans are still tentative and only that weekend will we get a better feeling on how things are looking especially now with the 99 makeup the following day.

Will the 99 being the next day cause some of the drivers who have already made the show to reconsider racing at Tri-City? I was thinking mainly of Earl Pearson Jr. and any others who will be racing a long way from home.

Aren't most of the drivers in West plains that weekend. I wouldn't see a problem with going to tri-city the to KY.

haha, alright...so who will really be driving at the fed ex 50? Mr. Smooth or "Little Billy"

Its simple, Call him Smoke Johnson( the III) like they did at the early bird at KLMS. Easier to remember and less confusing.

Mr Smooth is tentative for the event. As with a lot of the traveling teams and those also enroute to KLMS, a lot depends on how the Show Me goes and the equipment holds up from that one.

He has been running regularly there and when bigger money is up for grabs, he normally is at that race. But it will depend on if he has any equipment problems before then.

Just an FYI Dixon might not be running on Sunday all depends on how well he does Friday and Saturday BUT is running Macon on Monday.

Any updates on where the drivers are confirmed going before I sit in the HEAT. There is just too many races going on at one time this weekend. :(
