Granite City, IL -- Brandon Schneider went green to checkers to notch his first career Micro Sprint feature win at Tri-City Speedway.
Schneider bolted from his front row outside starting spot to lead the snarling pack of Micro Sprints on Tri-City’s lightning quick quarter-mile bullring. The race settled quickly into a steady pace with Tom Ritter, Rob Simpson, Mark “The Gas Man” Gass and Zach Barr chasing the 18-year-old through traffic but never catching him.
Bobby Lynn led every lap to win the first qualifier over Ritter and Schneider. Gass watched Barr lead one lap of the second qualifier before deciding he liked the view from up front much better. Barr and Simpson chased him across the stripe.
