MT. ALTO, WV-The American Motor Racing Association (AMRA) is anxiously awaiting the start of its 2010 racing season. Speedways signing on with the AMRA have for the most part announced their opening dates, allowing competitors and fans time to prepare for the upcoming season. In an earlier release, one of the cornerstone tracks of the AMRA, the Tyler County Speedway, was inadvertently left off the table of opening dates.
Known as "the Bullring", the fast, wide quarter mile has provided some of the nation's best racing over the past 35 seasons.
Circle Track Management Group, LLC of St. Marys, WV has signed an agreement with the Tyler County Fair Board to lease the Tyler County Speedway through the 2014 racing season. Circle Track Management Group, LLC consists of Mitch Wilcox, Craig Eddy and former Tyler County and I-79 Speedway promoter Frank Wilson, Jr.
The Tyler County Speedway, known as “The Bullring” will be in action in 2010 with a weekly schedule of Super Late Models, FASTRAK Crate Late Models, AMRA Modifieds, HotMods, ModLites, Pure Stocks, 4-cylinders and mini-wedges.
“We wanted to continue with the successes that BDS Racing Promotions had brought to the race track and surrounding communities, so we decided to stick with the exact same classes they had ran in the past,” said Frank Wilson, Jr. “We want to vary the special event schedule just a little bit, and with some improvements to facilities, we will provide a fan friendly environment at the
Bullring.”
