Welcome to a new year at Sedalia's State Fair Speedway - The Historic 1/2 Mile! The staff is sure that you will be impressed with the work that has been done over the winter to improve on a successfull 2002.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The 2002 schedule is now out. Each nightly sponsor has been awarded and will be announced at a press conference in March. In addition, the World of Outlaws are once again making 2 appearances at the track on April 11 and July 2. Weekly races will begin on Friday, April 25 and finish up with the season championships on Friday, August 1. One Memorial Weekend the Sedalia 360 Nationals will take to the track and the Dream Factory Truck and Tractor Pull will once again be back with us in June. Yeager's Cycle will host the AMA Flat Track Nationals on August 23 and the racing will finish out with the DirtWorks Race Cars Topless Nationals on Friday, August 29. The season is going to be jam packed full of excitement and we look forward to seeing all of you there.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Speaking of the World of Outlaws - each year we receive several request for ticket info to one or both of these races. The promotion of these races is handled by an outside group and therefore we do not have any of that information. If you would like information on those races contact Action Promotions at 972-487-6960 or via e-mail at actiont@airmail.net.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Look for this to be one of the hottest contested season ever at the track in each class. The W-K Chevrolet-Buick Late Models will see the return of last years champion, Dave Meyer, along with other front-runners Chris Smyser, Jason Bodenhamer, Richard Foster, Randy McGraw, Chad Lyle and a host of others. This is definitely a fight to the finish. In the Third National Bank Modifieds look for the action to step up from last year. With returning drivers Steve & Curt Potter, Howard Hall, Larry Stevenson, Dennis Walrath, and Bob Larson who knows how many weeks we could go before seeing a repeat winner. The David Malmo Ltd./David Malmo Mitsubishi Street Stocks will take to the track with several familiar names vying for the title. Can Bobby Tevis defend his crown? Will John Brooks snatch the title away? Can one of those two take that top spot or will the likes Bobby Shane, Clayton Campbell, Earl Sullins, or Toby Morrill snatch the top spot? The racing is going to be fast and furious in all three classes this year.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We look forward to seeing each and every one of you at the track throughout the 2003 season and if you have any questions or comments we'd love to hear them. As always don't forget to visit www.826race.com for all of the latest information about the track.
