Federated Auto Parts @ I-55 Sept. 28th AARA Fall Nationals adds B-Mods to the Show!

It is Highland, Belle-Clair, Tri-City type street stocks

Quick changes legal??? Not now but when you buy a used a mod from someone,,9 out of 10 cars will have a quick change in it..So why would I have to take it out and put a 9" in place of it? Just as well legalize them now and be done with it,,,they are cheaper in the long run and besides if your car has a 9",,you can run it also....the 9" would probably have an advantage HP wise as it takes a few HP just to turn the quick change...But if you folks think UMP will get a standard set of rules for this area,,you are all nuts,,,,UMP has screwed up every class they have for rules except the a mods and late models...Fayette County is haveing a 2 day show in October for the b mods,,,don't know what his plan is for rules,,but if he stays with what he has,he will have few cars,,,He uses a 360 ci limit and they do check,,which is good if that's the rules.. Just saying that already in the first 2 years of this class,,UMP has done it again,,,there are at least 4 sets of rules for this class on UMP web site,,,You figure them out!!!

IMCA has 2 sets of rules for their limited modifieds as well...

I don't know of anywhere that allows a quick change in a B-Mod, Limited Mod, SportMod, etc.. In fact the IMCA Southern SportMods REQUIRE you to run a OEM 7.5 GM 10 bolt rear end that must be stock width.. No Ford or floater rear ends period.

2 sets are better than 4,,huh Jimmy? Look at the Northern Sport mods,,that is closer to whats here than the Southern mods.

well, hate to throw this at you but spoon river allows quick changes ib b mods,,its on their web site SO,keep highlands rules caus if you open it up by saying "IF IT RUNS AS A B MOD SOME WHERE ELSE THEN COME RUN IT HERE.............I for one would love to see that happen as I would not have to pull my quick change,,i still will have to put a 2 bbl on..

actually I want to abide by highlands rules but in the past I have shown up at a track that was saying the same as I-55 only to find cars with equipment that was not supposed to be allowed...I-55 needs to claify on this site what we can run and what the b mods cannot run....the only reason I posted the info on spoon river was to make a point that every track has its own rules...this is lenny garson and I approve this posting (as if ya all really give a rats arse)

He did claify what rules this show is running. Read the very first post it says AARA is working with HIGHLAND & RUN UNDER HIGHLAND'S RULES FOR THE B-MODS

I like this idea better than allowing QC,at least you can still find these rear-ends in a Salvage Yard, unlike Metric Frames..You should not have to spend a fortune,Correct???
