With several of our regular drivers participating at the Midwest All-Star Sprint Series on this particular weekend. Tommy Worley, Jr picks up another win in the Sprint Division, his fourth of the season. Driving his bright #97 and sponsorships from Wings, etc., Farmington Machine Company and Wizzard Carpet Care had little trouble with the field. After taking the lead early from fellow front row starter Joey Montgomery, Worley set sail for the next county. He never looked back from there. He did have to survive one caution for the spinning car of Tierney Cooper. Rounding out the top five are Joey Montgomery, Fredericktown , MO , Tom Dickerman, Cedar Hill , MO , Keith Burch, Farmington , MO and Bryan Matthews of Park Hills , MO

Feature: Tommy Worley, Joey Montgomery, Tom Dickerman, Keith Burch, Bryan Matthews, Jason Hunt, Joey Boyd, Wade Seiler, Brad Greer, Danny Long, “Doc” Probst, Tierney Cooper, Patrick Budde, and Matt Dotson

Heats in the division were won by Worley and Jason Hunt, Bonne Terre , MO.

Dash was also won by Worley. With the win in the three events in the same evening, he joins the “Hat Trick Club” for 2007

Modified Division action from their first feature saw Mike “Hurricane” Francis, Fredericktown , MO got to the winners circle for the fourth time this season as well. The event started in normal fashion with Francis, Chris Boyd, Park Hills , MO , David Shepard, DeSoto , MO all racing to the point. This close racing at the front also allowed Billy Smith a chance to get into the picture as well. Lap after lap the continued the assault for the win. Three cautions would slow the event. All were for spinning cars. Francis would hold of Boyd, Smith, and Kasey Nations for the win. Jon Paul Reando would complete the top five.

Heats were won by Francis, Boyd, Smith and Nations. Shepard would claim the B-Main.

POWRi 600 Multi Division saw Brandon Nixon return to the winners circle for the second time this season as he out ran Joe B Miller and Jarrett Cathey. Nixon drove his black #20 to the front and led it wire to wire. Sponsorship help from Sonic, Mom & Dad, Boyer Lumber, and Fischer Auto Parts.

During the heat race portion of the evening, Jimmy Bridgeman got his car airborne off the wall and rolled it a couple of times. He would go to the ambulance under his own power. The car was totally destroyed. It was taken to the pit area, where several driver and crews help get it back together from basically the ground up. A great show of sportsmanship among those drivers and crews to help get Jimmy back into contention.

Heats were won by Scott, Nixon, and Zeigler

Our Pure Street Division saw the return of John Bohn, Farmington , MO to the drivers seat. Another driver to win for the fourth time this season. John started out the season behind the wheel of the Bill Ames owned #3 car, but gave way to fellow driver Pete Koenig for a few weeks. Pete ran the car well, but did not get it to the winners circle. Pete has sinced returned to Iraq for his second tour or duty. We wish him well on this tour. Special thanks to Pete, his unit, and all the men and women in the Armed Services of the United States for defending our right to freedom.

Two cautions for spinning cars would bring the event to a crawl. However, it did not seem to bother the Team 3 cars as they finished first and second. Chris Boyd drove the 3B to a second place finish ahead of Mike Savage, Shane Blair, and Bill Skaggs

Feature: Bohn, Boyd, Savage, S. Blair, B. Skaggs, Josh Skaggs, Keith Kennon, Brian Blair, Jimmy Farris, Greg Chilton, Dave Wofford, Harold Carter, Josh Clubbs, and Allen King.

Shane Blair and Bohn were the heat winners.

Make up feature for the Modified Division was about several things. To Win, naturally, close competition and tonight double points toward the track championship. In the evenings opening feature, Mike Francis, Billy Smith and Chris Boyd were the show. Well guess what…These three would go at it again. Close racing was again the order of the event. Two other players were added to this pool for potential winners. Jeremy Greenwalt and Brent Thompson. All these drivers have wins to their credit in 2007, with the exception of Boyd. His race car was fast, but not quite fast enough. He will try again and down the road. Success is just around the corner for him in this class.

Billy Smith made two visits in two weeks to the winners circle. He won last week $1000 to win show. This week he wins the make-up for double points. His black and orange #14 is sponsored by Nash Automotive, Kenny Wallace – The Hermanator, and Express Cash. He was chased to the line by Francis, Boyd, Greewalt, and Thompson.

Featuer: Smith, Francis, Boyd, Greenwalt, Thompson, Kasey Nations, Matt Eaton, Michael Abney, Tommy Worley, Sr., Shannon Blair, Jon Paul Reando, Chris West, Doug DeClue, Preston Odom, Jim Brayton, Randy Forster, and David Shepard. Jonathan Self and Chad Heady we unable to start the event.

Heats and B-Main were run on June 30th. Winners were Jonathan Self, Smith and Francis in the heats. Tommy Worley, Sr won the B-Main.

Our POWRi 600 Multi make-up feature saw Jimmy Bridgeman win for the third time this season. At the beginning of the event it looked like a repeat of the regular feature for Brandon Nixon. With a fast car and starting on the front row alongside Jimmy Bridgeman. Remember earlier in the evening Bridgeman rolled his car and was rebuilt from the ground up. Nixon got a good start but had to fall in behind Bridgeman. All he could do was get a run on him, but could not overtake him for the win. Bridgeman took his battered race car from disaster to a win.

Feature: Bridgeman, Nixon, Joe B Miller, Ryan Kempin, James Scott, Lynda Blanke, Jeremy Boyer, Eric Zeigler, Jordan Masson, Brian Keen, Zach Black, Sam Miller, Jeff Wurst, and Jarrett Cathey. Mike Strain unable to start the feature.
