The 4-State at Monett along with the Tony Roper Memorial,SpringfieldRaceway's Turkey Classic and Octoberfast.The Larry Phillips Birthday Bash and the Coca-Cola Fall Brawl at LebanonMidway,The State Fair Race at Sedalia State Fairgrounds in Aug.The Diamond Nationals along with the Show-Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland
Add another to the datebook as on Sat Night June 26th at the Quick-Quarter of the SpringfieldRaceway it will be the running of the John Kuntz Memorial/Andy's Frozen Custard Special as for the first time ever on Jerry Hoffman and Doug Bland's racetrack the Stars and Cars from the MARS LateModel Series and the Bad Boys from the MLRA LateModel Series will battle it out for laps of side by side action.
Expected entries include defending MARS Champion Terry Phillips of Springfield,MLRA Kingpin Al Purkey of Coffeyville,Kansas,defending and two-time Kuntz Memorial winner Jeremy Payne of Springfield,Current MLRA point leader Brad Looney of Republic,MARS current point leader Eric Turner of Hermitage,Chris Smyser of Lancaster,The Mooneyham father/son team of Darrell and Dustin of Aurora,Show-Me Series Champion Justin Wells of Aurora,Turkey Classic winner Ken"The Flying Farmer" Essary of Cape Fair, and many of the top Midwest Regional Dirt LateModel drivers and teams.
This race will mark the last night of a 3 night swing for the MLRA for the weekend as they compete Thursday night at 24 Raceway in Moberly,Friday Night at Sedalia's Histroic Half-mile as the MARS Stars will join them Friday Night.The 3 night swing should attract a stellar field of drivers.This event will be a Hoosier WRS D55 tire rule only.
The two regional groups will meet again at Springfield on Sept 18th for the Larry Phillips Memorial
This event will also feature points action in the SportMod division with $300 going to the winner,StreetStocks,LegendCars and the newly formed MidWest Modz as they compete in a special extra money race thanks to Rob Burgess of Leslie Flooring in Stott City,Mo.
Pitgates will open at 4 and pitpasses will be $35.
Grandstand gates will open at 5PM with Adult admission $20.Hoylaps will start approx 6:15 with racing to start approx.7:15.
