Was anyone else besides me as unimpressed with Steffens at Pevely Saturday night. He about put Scherek in the fence on the front stretch in his heat and then put another car in the fence in the feature on the backstrectch. I know noone sitting around me was impressed with him and his hotdog style. It says showtime on his spoiler but he didn't Show me anything.
 
I wasn't impressed either, thanks to kyle steffans the number 17 of wilson's,
car was destroyed and have to get a brand new car,i was sitting on the front stretch and was watching todd, and from what i seen that was all klye's fault, and i can clearly understand why todd was upset .
 
What I saw was that Kyle passed the 17 and slid up the track a little in front of him, the 17 ran into the back of Kyle then up the left side and over the LR wheel never lifting. I really do not see how that could have been Kyle running him into the wall. It looked to me like the 17 car wrecked trying to retaliate because he felt like he was passed with a slidejob. If it was Kyle wrecking him wouldnt it have had to be Right rear to left front contact? Before someone asks, yes I am freinds with Kyle, and no I do not know Wilson, I would assume that those of you blaming Kyle are friends with Wilson and do not know Kyle.
 
Actually im not friends of wilsons yet i know todds driving style is not wreckless and from what ive heard it was kyles fault and this is from people who dont know neither person so becareful before u assume
 
Didn't Todd and his wife steal Dixons trophy at the all stars race last year or the year before? How can you cause a wreck when you get hit in the left rear ?
 
Just what I have seen and what I think over the years.

I don't know either one of them and really don't care to. I have seen Steffens tear-up quite a few cars because of his driving style.

Dixon and numerous others can get away with "living on the edge" because they know how to drive and for the MOST PART, respect the other drivers. They know what it's like to have to pay for stuff they tear up. Dixon may have a first class high dollar organization now, but he knows what it's like to have to foot the bill (it's been a while, but I'm sure he still remembers - LOL).

Kyle has NEVER had to foot the bill nor will he ever have to. He will never learn how to respect HIS equipment nor the equipment of others.

I'm not jealous of Kyle at all. I wish him the best. Unfortunately, there are some lessons about respect that he will probably never learn. Unfortunately, it's the other competitors who will pay the price.

There are good and bad ways to look at it. I have no problem with anyone having a first class ride financed from somewhere other than the driver's wallet.

I look at Justin Allgaier and this kid worked his way up and earned ALOT of respect along the way. He is polite and courteous. Doesn't act like the world owes him a thing. Gets out on the track and pushes the car to it's limit, but has the sense to back it down if it's not right. He respects his peers and it shows.

Sometimes you just have to slow down in order to go faster.

Its funny all you blow hards with numbers in your user name have a similar story, I'm sure none of you know each other? I see it the way the only late model driver (DEAN)that has commented does. I was at the pit gate and Todd turned right hit Kyle and as a result put himself in the fence. Kyle had no momentum if Todd wasn't trying to wreck Kyle he could have drove past him and everybody around the pit gate seemed to agree
 
I don't know either driver but thats how Kyle drives week in and week out. I'm there to watch a good show not someone who thinks he's the class of the field but couldn't run with the big boys if he wanted to. He should use his talent and drive and quit trying to be a hotdog at least until he can win every once in a while. One race win (Duquoin) does not make a driver.
 
fanof24. it is bs that you don't know either driver while else would you start a witch hunt ? I have been living in St. Louis for 4 years and have been going to Pevely ever since and yes Kyle had some wrecks his first year but didn't junk anybody . You need to check you facts about Kyle's racing experience I just did on his site . I was sitting on the front stretch and yes Kyle put a slide job on after trying to pass for several laps but had a least 5 yards clearance until loosing momentum witch Todd could have driven past but instead decided to drive up the back of the 8 and wrecked himself . A guy in front of me said there is no way you should be able to hit the wall on the straight of a high banked track like Pevely unless you were turning right and most around us agreed the 17 was trying to turn the 8. So stop trying to make a hard racer look bad to other because of personal feelings.

He destroyed one of mark oller's cars his first year... I can think of quite a few more wrecks where he's caused damage to other cars as well.
 
dirtburner, i am just a fan that sits in the stands every week and do not have an affiliation with either driver. I see Kyle drive this way every week and i was just curious if anyone else sees the same as i do and from the other post its obvious that they do. I'm not on a witch hunt, just like to see good CLEAN racing and frankly you don't get that from Kyle...so believe what you want but i do not know either driver.
 
if it the case you are just a fan don't have some vendetta against Kyle or some affiliation with Todd and just a fan of clean racing , then how do you see this as Kyle's fault ?The 17 car ran up the left rear of the 8 and the wheels cut to right . The 8 was between the 17 and the wall there is no way he could have caused this . The past is the past , this one was not his fault.
 
Which big show was that last year where Steffens was beating the hell out of Don O'neal all the way into the pits and O'neal put it in reverse and nailed him? So he's not just that way to locals, he acts that way with the biggest dog's. He better change his attitude before somebody seriously hurts him, you can't drive and talk like he does when your in a little boy's body. I thought he was descent until I got a taste of his attitude first hand.

Seems like his past is still following him. I can remember a few accidents that "weren't his fault" also. Hopefully, Kyle can shake the past and his "better than you" attitude.
 
cc-28 I remember that there was also a thread about it Don door slammed the 8 and sent him to the wall so Kyle gave him a little push to the scales no big deal but that's the problem with most of the people . Don could start in the back drive up over and through every body taking a third of the field to win the race and everybody is on there knees this guys puts on a slide job for position gets his RIGHT REAR driven over and ever body is ready to hang him . Wrecks are going to happen its a part of it but by my account I don't remember Kyle causing one last year but I do remember Ed putting him in the front stretch wall(he should have lifted and he will probably tell you that),or when Justin ran him up the wall on a restart and the 8 almost got upside down and came back to run 2nd with a car that was visible towed out from the stands,or when Gundaker rear-ended him so many times it broke the rear-end . I love watching all the racers I have mentioned and am a fan of all of them except Don O'neil but like Dean said this was clearly an attempt to retaliate for getting slid on and it back fired .
 
Just My Opinion, But I Think Superchickenchoker Has "lil" Kyle Stuck Too Far Somewhere So Thaat He Can't See His Driving. I've Seen Kyle Drive Since His Modified Days, He's Disrespectful Too Everyone And Everyone's Equipment. Sorry But Not Everyone's Got A Rich Grandpa Too Pay For Everyhting We Tear Up! Kyle Needs A Reality Check, And A Pay Cut, And Take A Few Lessons From Justin Allgier! But That's Just My Opinion!!!!

Whats The Big Deal Some Drivers Are Cockey Some Are Programed To Say What They Think You Want To Hear .kyles A Little Cockey And Justin Is Programed . One Is Not Better Than The Other Just Diffrent. By The WaY You Bum Why Are AttAcking Me I Just Stated Some Facts ,what Do You Know About His G Pa And How Rich He Is ?who Is His Grandfather If YouR So In Tuned?
