Still worth entering Humboldt, even at $400 entry fee Friday!!!

Last pitch for you to be the first ever 'King of America' Modified Nationals Champion!

Even at $400 entry fee, THIS Fri&Sat at Humboldt, KS is worth it!

Pit passes are $35 Friday & $40 on Saturday.

First, Friday and Saturday's weather won't be as cold as tonight's is. Highs lo-mid 70s, lows mid-40s and NO rain or wind. At least not like tonight's wind. Those folks are cold!

It would take more than 112 cars to not get at least that $400 entry fee back. Right now, there are 80 cars entered.

112 cars leave with $400 or more
94 of them leave with $450 or more
76 of them leave with $500 or more
58 of them leave with $600 or more
44 of them leave with $700 or more

remember, treat this like a 2-day show because it is for folks who enter on Friday...

***30 of them leave with $1500 or more***

The top SIX leave with at least $2500

3rd gets FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS

2nd gets EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS

And, assuming you have the car & the talent, you have a LEGITIMATE SHOT AT THE POLE FOR A ***$15,000 TO WIN*** feature event.

It's only been better than this once all year and Humboldt is a lot closer than Deer Creek for a whole lot of Modifieds!

The entry list is below and remember, all 80 of these cars will not be racing Friday. Some will be sitting on their points totals if they are in the A or think it will put them the B maybe and some will have already used their mulligan on Thursday and won't be eligible to race on Friday. A Friday point total has the same shot that a Wednesday or Thursday point total has at the pole. Top 6 in points each night lock in Saturday's A. Where they start in that A and where others line up in the B and other Saturday races depends on the actual points total. Also, 6 spots in the B main on average open on Friday. Not guaranteed at those numbers though in the B. Could be a couple less, could be a couple MORE. It just depends on how the points fall. See this: http://www.usmts.com/news_article.asp?NewsID=11903 for explanation of points system and qualifying. It's a pretty cool format but it might give you a headache reading it!

And now, here's six cars you won't have to race tonight or Friday!

QUALIFYING POINTS AFTER WED:
1. Terry Phillips ... 610.5
2. Jeremy Payne ... 596.5
3. Zack VanderBeek ... 582.5
4. Ryan Gustin ... 581
5. Terry Schultz ... 570.5
6. Jason Hughes ... 568.5

Unless one of them doesn't 'stick' and tries again. Would you?

7. Tim Setzer ... 560.5
8. Corey Dripps ... 550.5
9. Shad Badder ... 526.5
10. Grant Junghans ... 525.5

Going into tonight's action, there will still be 24 $1500 to start A-main spots open and 18 still open (to new entries too!) going into Friday. Of course 12 of those will come out of Saturday's $700 to start B main. 13th place gets $1000 in it!

If someone beats Phillips's point total of 610.5, they will start ahead of him in Saturday's A. It's possible. He didn't win the feature so he left at least a couple points on the table.

And Schultz, Stetzer & Badder are 3 other Missouri racers besides Phillips & Payne to have run well last night!!!

Tonight's winner Johnny Scott and runner-up Johnny Bone started 12th & 16th!!

THIS is a RACE track!!!

Saturday's big money A-main is 75 laps!

12 racers you WON'T have to race against TONIGHT in Humboldt to get in the $1500 to start A main but... :)

You'll have to beat them Saturday if you want to win $15,000! :-/
