My vote is for Steve Sheppard Jr. he ducks no competition and has no home track that he runs for points at and is doing a fine job this year sitting in 6th place in UMP National Points.
I agree with above post. Revin Kevin Gundaker came thru alot to race this year. Ask any driver, he'll give you what you need to get you on the track. Even when he couldn't race he let other drivers run his car. I think driver of the year should be more than what you can do on the track anyway. We want our kids to be able to look up to this guy.
Well, I have to agree about Kevin Gundaker being nominated. After being injured like he was and out for awhole season, It took alot of work for him to be back out on the track and win like he did. and for all of his fans that sit in the stands week after week, it was an exciting season to see him back on the track. I know it was for me. I know it takes alot to be driver of the year and I think he has all the qualities. He spends time with his fans, he would help anybody out that he could and when the going gets tough He Survived!!!!! I think that says alot there. But this is just my 2 cents
Just remember Kevin, your fans are in the stands yellin for ya week after week!!!
Dean Hoffman, he raced very consistant this year in the LM and i think he deserves a nomination. even though the colors on his cars didnt look to well...but hey the way i see it, it dont need to look good to run fast!
dean is a definite.....u know who has improved alot this year and especially lately is Billy laycock...good consistence runs and not causing cautions...he is not flawless but has really seen an improvment....
For the local area hands down would have to be Fast Frankie Martin # 25 ...Possible 2 Championships this year B-Ville and Highland....Very good year for the #25 team...
