Since the whole idea behind us going to Hoosiers was being able to buy used modified tires can we run grooved tires now?

Some tracks let you and other won't like a lot of the rules in this class. Rules are different from track to track I would say if Tri-City lets you most tracks do what they do.

Just looked on their site and it says sipping allowed but no grooving! Now it also shows those are the 2013 rules but one has to assume that nothing has changed.

Leave it to the worst sanctioning body there is UMP and this is what you have. They have no balls that's obvious. That's why you still have tracks rules that are different then UMP rules.

Belleville does allow grooved or sipped tires. A or H

We do allow grooving & siping in the Street Stock class, This will allow you to get
tires from some of the Mod teams.

Ive seen grooved and non grooved run.. The grooved tires DONT LAST.. Grind them with the 40 grit flapper wheel, and sipe them. They will last much longer, assuming you had a decent tire to start with...But like dirthound said.. never assume..

SS/PS should be racing with a STREET-LEGAL Tire...I don't mean a D.O.T. RACING Tire,either!!!!
