Tailoring a race suit

I recently bought a new suit from a guy but the suit turned out to be to big, any idea where I can take it to get it tailored for me, I heard you need a special thread to do it and not many shops carry it, so does anyone know where I can take it or someone who does it?

BEEN through this a few times 20 years ago pyrotech racing suits sold me thread & some material but they really didn't want to you can call to try.. years later i found a auto upholstery shop to help me out they have the heavy duty thread, but not fire retardant , you don't need it anyway,,worked great for me!!!!!!! good luck!!
