Thanks for keeping the show on Friday. Nobody in the stands...radar looked bad....drizzle during hot laps. Would have been easy to cancel, like some tracks would have, but you recognize that race teams put effort and money into showing up too. Drivers and fans appreciate this and will return because of your decision. Those that did show up saw a great track and some good racing! Thanks again and see you next week.

I will 2nd that! Saving the track by putting a lot of cars out there to motor around during the drizzle, brilliant. Belle-Clare always delivers great racing, and the last few laps of the LM feature no one felt the cold yelling for Richie's win!

I think the drivers should pass the helmet for the track this week. If what I heard is true, BCP took a pretty good hit Friday n.

Where are the fans? You missed a night of good features and some new drivers. Thanks Don.

Checkers and wreckers has a full set of pictures from last week on their facebook page. I will have full results up on the website a lil later!

Hopefully the spectators show up before bcP calls it quits,it had to be bad enough to take a soaking on the gate and the Mrs.Hoener took a chewing because of a call on the track. It is a thankless job support the track while it is still going!

I think everyone knows that Don took a hit on that show. I guarantee if he would have called it there would be 10 to 20 people ranting and raving cause they didnt race cause it never rained. Yeah I happy we got to race but hate to see the outcome because lets face it, if he takes a hit like that a couple more times, he gone! Plain and simple. I support the decisions that have to be made and i guarantee Donnie will reconsider on a night that looked to me we would never get in. I might not have as many fans with us that night but still had at least 10 there. Fans in the seats do not always come from the promoter. Us as drivers need to do a little better ourselves on getting some asses in the seats. Take 1 sponsors money and buy some tickets. That is my next idea to get 3 of my sponsors that have never even seen me race to help the track. So lets get promoting people before it is gone.

That was the message I was trying to get out there. Don did his part and kept the rases going after we showed up. Now we need to do are part and get more drivers and fans there. I know I don't have the number of fans you do Rip, but thats why I will be back Friday if they race.

20 Rocks........You do NOT have the whole story......my father, Rich Dambacher asked to speak to Don Hoener, his wife said," he is in a meeting right now, I am Don's wife so you can speak to me!!"....she asked for it in my opinion.....
Hey, when you are the owner of a business....some days you WIN some and some days you LOSE some $$$ that is just how it goes. Sometimes you have to know if it is worth it to carry on in the business world or not. The moment was HEATED, I agree, but when you openly say HEY, you can talk to me, you better be ready to hear what is gonna come out of that other person's mouth and be professional about it and NOT go slamming car doors and saying my husband just lost $x,xxx and so on. Hey, I realize what goes on with a business regarding truck drivers, they drive the truck and you get the bill for blown tires, tow truck bills when they get stuck on the job, blown-up motors, over-turned trucks, bills from Ameren power company when they take out the power lines when dumping a load.....the list goes on. You must have a Pro's and Con's list of owning a business and when it doesn't make you happy anymore or puts you in debt.......it is time to get out.....just saying :)

I would call it wanting to get to the bottom of the Official's call in Turn #4 during the Late Model Feature. My father thought that speaking to Don Hoener would enable him to get to the bottom of the race call made during the race. According to Mrs. Hoener he has nothing to do with the call that was made.
My father and I have further looked at the "Allied Rules" book posted on I-55 raceway's web-site and saw that an Official's call is final, so Mr. Ralph Joseph's call is final and Don Hoener on the front straight away announcer's booth has "nothing" to do with the call. That is my/our understanding of the call.....but it all depends who the car is that spun in turn #4 was that Don Klein, Ed Dixon, Michael-Michael Kloos, Frankie Martin, Mark Voigt, Mike Schulte, etc. Consistency of the race calls is the focus of the problem at hand......just saying

I'm confused. What was Ralphs call? And was it over-ruled?

If it is a consistency question, then putting the car that spun to the rear (regardless if someone punted him or not ) has always been the call Ralph makes. Happened to us in the Shamrock, and multiple times last year. The only difference is, the car that spun us, didn't go to the rear because Ralph claims he didn't see it.

1 car #25 was hit from behind going into Turn #3 and was spun around by another car Voigt. The 1st car #25 spins around and does a 360 and does NOT make contact with any other cars when doing his 360 and continues on to race. a yellow is immediately thrown. Both cars are sent to the back of the feature. I remember races when cars do 360's and the race continues???? What gives....where is the consistency in the race calls, that is all my father was trying to ask don hoener because that is who he thought is in charge of the calls, but EACH official has the last call on the call that they make on the track, that is what we read in the "Allied Rules book," anyway. I can understand if BOTH cars are rubbing and banging on each other, but that was NOT the case. I have witnessed other feature races that ONLY 1 car went to the back when a certain car spun out another certain car.....CONSISTENCY of calls is all that we are asking and Why the call was made as such on Friday during the Late Model Feature.....that's all????
