The MSCCS Invades Queen City This Saturday Night!

Columbus, MS-The 2005 Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series will take its traveling road show for round #3 of the 2005 season to the high banked quarter mile Queen City Speedway located in Meridian, Mississippi. The event will be part of the season opening weekend for Queen City Speedway with the main event of the evening being the MSSCS Super Late Models vying for the $2,500 to win and $300 to start plus posted awards in the 50-lap main event.

Action will consist of Brown Engineering Pole Qualifying plus Cliburn Tank Lines B-Main events plus two provisional starters to complete the 22 car starting field plus the 50-lap $2,500 to win A-main. The MSCCS has seen 2 different winners in the first 2 races but Lewisburg, TN driver David Gentry has already stepped out to the initial lead with Louisiana’s Chris Wall and Four Corners, Mississippi driver David Breazeale both tied for second at a track they all have posted strong finishes during recent competition. The Jay Dickens’ Rookie of the Year title chase has seen Shannon, Mississippi driver Neil Baggett jump out to an early lead on the young season as well but a fine host of competitors are looking to make a move this weekend.

Queen City will have an open practice of Thursday night, plus a regular show for all divisions on Friday night as Brach Singleton has his first events as new track manager at the Queen City Speedway.

Queen City Speedway is located just west of Meridian, Mississippi. Take exit number 129 off of Interstate 20 and follow the signs. Pit gates will open at 3:00pm. Racing is targeted to begin at 7pm.
