This Night Belonged To The Worley Family at SFCR

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (August 19, 2006) On a night where Tommy Worley Sr. of Farmington was honored by track officials at the St. Francois County Raceway by having his named placed on the "Wall of Fame" at the track, his son, Tommy Worley Jr. made his poppa proud by winning the sprint car feature.
Worley Sr. was an extremely popular choice to be added to the "Wall of Fame" as his name was always one of the first ones mentioned when the subject of adding a new name was brought up due to his past track championships and the number of years he has contributed to the racing community at SFCR.
Worley Jr., also from Farmington, won the Sprint car feature with A.J. Bruns second, Bryan Matthews third, Tim Montgomery fourth and Jimmy Hurley fifth. They were followed by Tom Dickerman, Nathan Higgins, Bob Thoman, Steve Short and Kara King.
Worley Jr. won the first heat race with Matthews second and Dustin Adams third. Higgins won the second heat with Dickerman second and Bruns third. King won the third heat with Hurley second and Jimmy Brayton Jr. third.
Hurley won the trophy dash with Worley second and Dickerman third.
In the Modified class feature, Brent Thompson of Farmington picked up the checkered flag with Jeremy Greenwalt second, Worley Sr. was third, Kenny Kennedy fourth and Alan Conners fifth. They were followed by Mike Francis, Danny Resinger, Randy Forster, Matt Eaton and Dewayne Kieffer.
Kennedy won the first heat race with Worley Sr. second and Resinger third. Thompson won the second heat with Doug DeClue second and Greenwalt third. Francis won the third heat with Kasey Nations second and Conners third. Eaton won the "B" main with Kieffer second and Erik Edgar third.
Jimmy Bridgeman of Farmington was the winner of the 600cc Multi class feature with Joey Boyd second, Brandon Nixon third, Jason McBride fourth and Mark Shirshekan fifth. They were followed by Joe Miller, Ryan Kempin, Sam Miller, Brian Keen and Neil Quick.
Boyd won the first heat with Jimmy Stearns second and Brad Greer third. Bridgeman won the second heat with Shirshekan second and McBride third.
In the Pure Street feature, John Bohn of Farmington picked up the win with Michael Abney second, Travis Goodman third, Bill Skaggs fourth and Tommy Worley Sr. fifth. They were followed by Mike Savage, Josh Skaggs, Eric Sarakas, Dave Wofford and Shane Blair.
Savage won the first heat race with Bill Skaggs second and Brian Stephens third. Goodman won the second heat with Bohn second and Worley Sr. third. Abney won the third heat with Chris Boyd second and Sarakas third.
This Saturday night (Aug. 26th), the St. Francois County Raceway will host the Driver's Seat 25 for the Pure Street class with $1,000 going to the winning driver. The event is being sponsored by T-Trucking, Burkhart Trucking, Tidwell Express, M&M Trucking, Ox Transportation, Burch Fencing of Farmington, Ron's Tire of Farmington, Bill Skaggs Flooring of Bismarck, R.M. Wal Contracting of Catawissa, Cody Enterprises of Ste. Genevieve, Ski Cola and the Driver's Seat-Online racing (www.driversseat-online.com) newspaper.
Also Saturday night will be a special Racing Association of Mini Stock's Points Series race that is open to all mini stocks. Saturday is also Parker Banks Chevrolet of Potosi Night.
