Thoughts on this.
No official word yet but heard this a few days ago.
Looks like the WOO LMS will have Lie Detector Test available for teams found with juiced tires. It appears that the driver, crew chief, and tire man will all have to take the test if the disagree with the results. It will cost around $550.

Yes a test likely isn't admissible in a count but if a law suit comes about then there is some possible proof against series that maybe it isn't the teams fault. They could take into consideration that maybe the tire ran though something on the track. Personally If this is the case I think series officials should have to take a test to see if they mishandled the tire sample according to the WOO LMS rule book.

Any attorney worth his salt could win a court case dealing with tire testing. Many many of ways to cast doubt on the procedure. To me it takes all credibility from the racer(which may be justified at times). But gives it to the process and the testers(all the time which is not justified). If the process is going be right it's going take more money and effort to make that way. Simple fact is the powers that be have more money than the racer usually and they continue making money during the fight while the racers career is put on hold. jmo

This is great for the big races but there continues to be zero tire tech at local tracks. As a result the cheating continues and UMP doesn't care.

Cheaters......you know who you are!

I believe the cost for getting a tire sample tested cost around $70 for the track... But if that sample comes back as bad, then a further 2nd test is done which is about $250 more.

Tracks should take samples nightly, say 5 or 6 samples, and then randomly send in just one or two of those samples.. That would lesson their costs by only sending in a couple of samples but still have 5 or 6 guys wondering...

Personally i think people have backed off with their tire preps. Ones who promoted it or sold prep stuff no longer are around(that i know of)plus with all the bad publicity that comes with it people figured better to spend their money in other areas. Just my two cents and i could be wrong
