Basehor, Kansas (08/10/10) – Tim Karrick powered his #1k McCarthy Auto Group/Hamilton Service Company/Skyrocket/Dennis Millert Racing Engine Open Wheel Modified to his second win of the season on Friday night at Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, KS)

Tim Karrick traveled to Lakeside Speedway on Friday night for what proved to be a great night for him and his team. The night started with the make-up feature from July 30th. Karrick started 7th on the grid for the feature and would quickly work his way to the front of the pack in the event. As the race approached its midway point the leader, Nic Bidinger, entered heavy lap traffic, and Karrick would take advantage of the situation to take control of the lead. Once out front Tim would drive away from the competition en route to the win over Bidinger and Dustin Boney.

With the previous week's events completed, a complete program was held for the Open Wheel Modified division as thirty-three entries signed in for battle. Heat race action would not be kind to Karrick as he failed to transfer to the feature. As a result, he would have to charge to a second place finish in his b-main to lock into the feature. He would start 20th on the grid for the main event, and would mount a great charge through the pack to finish fourth at the checkered flag behind event winner, Justin Boney, Aaron Marrant, and Tom Charles.

Tim continues to lead the Open Wheel Modified points at Lakeside Speedway with a two point advantage over Tom Charles.

This Friday, August 13th Tim and the team will be back in action at Lakeside Speedway for a Weekly Racing Series event. For more information, please visit www.LakesideSpeedway.net .
