Tim Montgomery adds up the points with another sprint feature win at SFCR on 07/19/03

“The Fredericktown Flash” Tim Montgomery, stacks up the points with another feature win at St. Francois County Raceway.
St. Francois County Raceway had another great night of racing on 07/19/03. We had great racing from the heat races to the features. Tim Montgomery and Joey Montgomery had a great fight for a heat win in the sprint heat one with Tim picking up the win. In the sprint heat two Jason Keith picked up the win. In the sprint heat three Tommy Worley Jr. picked up the win. In the modified heat one Kenney Kennedy picked up a win, in heat two Tommy Worley Sr. picked up the win and in heat three Timmy Hill picked up the win. We had two hobby stock heats with Jeremy Greenwalt and Chuck Adams picking up the wins. We had three winners of the 600cc Multi heat, Dustin Barks, Tyler Thompson and Joey Boyd. Jody Adams flipped his car up and over in the 600cc heat one.
Paul Patterson led the sprint trophy dash from the start to win.
In the sprint feature, Jason Keith was leading the race until he spun out leaving the door open for Paul Patterson to get the front spot. Then a few laps into the race Tim Montgomery proved he deserves to be the point’s leader by taking his place up front by passing Paul to pick up the feature win. Joey Montgomery finished second followed by Paul Patterson in third, Tommy Worley Jr. in fourth, Bryan Matthews in fifth, Steve Short in sixth, Rod Crabdree in seventh, Scott Simion in eighth, Jeff Davis in ninth and Jason Hunt in tenth.
Jeremy Greenwalt was leading the modified feature until he got together with Tim Hill while Tim was trying to pass for the lead. Billy “The Kid” Smith, came from third row to take the front of the feature. Bill Smith picked up a well deserved win followed by Tommy Worley Sr. in second, Pete Koenig in third, Matt Zimmerley in fourth, Tim Hill in fifth, Lou Driemeier in sixth, Kevin Gegg in seventh, Eddie Gross in eighth, Tony Palmer in ninth and Doug Brewster finished tenth.
In the hobby stock feature Chuck Adams was leading until he spun out in turn three and four leaving the door open for Jeremy Greenwalt to pick up the hobby stock feature win. Doug Savage came from third row to pick up second followed by Kevin Mosier in third, Chris Boyd in fourth, Matt Eaton in fifth, Kasey Nations in sixth, Chuck Adams in seventh, Charles Adams in eighth, Billy Craig in ninth and Jim Abshier finished tenth.
Dustin Barks led the 600cc multi feature from start to the finish to pick up the win followed by Jr. Ferguson in second, Paul Cain in third, Tommy Boyd in fourth, Casey Barnhouse in fifth, Joey Boyd in sixth, Chuck Fenwick in seventh, Jeremy Boyer in eighth, Matt Dodson in ninth and Tom Harris finished tenth.

Don’t forget about our spectacular racing event coming to SFCR next weekend on 07/26/03 with the All-Stars, NCRA, regular sprints and the 600cc multis. All sprints will qualify next weekend with a $5000.00 dollar to win sprint feature. This will be a wonderful show with numerous big sprint car racer names and a great turnout of cars. There will be a Miller Light happy hour in the grandstands from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, with lots of giveaways. Gates open at 4:00pm with racing starting at 7:00pm. Tickets will be $20.00 for grandstands and $30.00 for the pits so come early there will be a great turnout and trust us this is one race you don’t want to miss.
