Tim Montgomery Wins Queen's Royale at SFCR!

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (Oct. 1, 2005) Timmy Montgomery of Fredericktown, Mo. became only the second driver to win multiple Queen's Royale feature races when he led all 30-laps of the sprint car extravaganza Saturday night at the St. Francois County Raceway. Montgomery started on the outside of the front row and grabbed the lead quickly from pole-sitter Jimmy Hurley of Springfield, Ill. on his way to victory lane. Joey Montgomery settled for second place with Tommy Worley Jr. third, Steve Short fourth and Jerrod Hull fifth. They were followed by Tom Busch, Terry Babb, Kelly Kinser (the other multiple winner of the event), Bryan Matthews and Jay Landolt.

Hull won the first heat race with Hurley second and Joey Montgomery third. Timmy Montgomery won the second heat with Busch second and Daniel Adler third. Short won the third heat with Nathan Higgins second and Gary Altig third. Lance Gullo won the fourth heat with Worley second and Bob Thoman third. Jason Keith won the fifth heat with Kinser second and Matthews third. Kaley Gharst won the "C" main. Bobby Hawks won the "B" main with Jay Landolt second and Keith Burch third. Hurley won the trophy dash with Timmy Montgomery second and Kinser third.

Brent Thompson

In the Modified class, Brent Thompson of Farmington took the checkered flag in the feature with 2005 track champion Mike Francis of Fredericktown second, Kasey Burch third, Kenny Kennedy fourth and Billy "The Kidd" Smith fifth. They were followed by Rusty Griffaw, Chris Boyd, Jeremy Greenwalt, Brad Mashek and Leo Kiefer. Francis led the first nine laps of the feature before giving way to Thompson for the final 11.

Tommy Worley Sr. won the first heat race with Thompson second. Francis won the second heat with Griffaw second and Kennedy third. Burch won the third heat with Smith second and Danny Resinger third. Lou Driemier won the fourth heat with Adam Parmeley second and Mashek third. Jon Paul Reando won the "B" main with Chris Boyd second and Rick Conoyer third.

Jimmy Bridgeman

In the 600cc Multi class, Jimmy Bridgeman of Farmington led all 20 laps of the feature to pick up the victory. Dustin Barks was second with Christopher Massey third, Kara King fourth and Casey Barnhouse fifth. They were followed by Andy Moss, Jimmy Stearns, Rodney Williams, Mark Shirshekan and Brian Keen.

Bridgeman won the first heat race with Joey Boyd second and Moss third. Andy Malpocker won the second heat with Massey second and Junior Ferguson third. Barks won the third heat with King second and Barnhouse third.

It was also announced that Tom Dickerman was the 2005 track champion in the 600cc Multi class on a tie-breaker. Dickerman and Moss were tied with 880 points each, but the tie-breaker (most feature wins) went to Dickerman.
