MADISON, Ill. – In one month, the sounds of race engines will be heard at Daytona and Pomona, signifying the beginning of the 2010 NASCAR and NHRA seasons and Gateway International Raceway is ready! Tickets for GIR’s NASCAR and NHRA events go on sale Monday and race fans won’t want to miss an historic season at the 1.25-mile oval and drag strip.
For the first time in the facility’s history, Gateway is not only hosting two NASCAR Nationwide Series races, but also a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series/Nationwide Series doubleheader weekend. Two-time winner Carl Edwards is returning to GIR for both Nationwide races, as are hometown favorites Justin Allgaier and Kenny Wallace. Single-event tickets for the Camping World 200 Truck Series race on July 16 start as low as $35 and admission for the July 17 Missouri-Illinois Dodge Dealers 250 Presented by Ventrillo and the Oct. 23 NNS event start as low as $45.
The NHRA Full Throttle Series returns to the St. Louis area April 30-May 2 along with the biggest names in the sport, including Ashley Force Hood, Tony Schumacher, Brandon Bernstein, and Robert Hight. Single-day tickets start as low as $32 on Friday, $42 on Saturday, and $50 on Sunday.
