Tommy Worley Jr. Picks Up First Feature Win of Season at SFCR

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (Aug. 13, 2005) Tommy Worley Jr. of Bismarck picked up his first sprint car feature victory Saturday night at the St. Francois County Raceway. Joey Montgomery captured second place with Jimmy Hurley third, Kent Buckley fourth and Steve Short fifth. They were followed by Timmy Montgomery, Keith Burch, Jason Hunt, Dustin Adams and Timmy Moss.
Worley won the first heat race with Moss second and Timmy Montgomery third. Joey Montgomery won the second heat with Short second and Burch third. A.J. Bruns won the third heat with Hurley second and Hunt third. Worley also won the trophy dash with Joey Montgomery second and Bruns third.
In the Modified class, Mike Francis of Fredericktown increased his points lead by winning the feature race. Billy Smith finished in second place with Brent Thompson third, John Bohn fourth and Jeremy Greenwalt fifth. They were followed by Chris Boyd, Jon Paul Reando, Tommy Worley Sr., Alan Conner and Duane Kiefer. Worley won the first heat race with Francis second and Thompson third. Leo Kiefer won the second heat with Smith second and Boyd third. Bohn won the third heat with Conner second and Kiefer third. Bill Long won the "B" main with Charlie Savage second and Jim Brayton Sr. third.
In the Sportsmen class feature, Matt Eaton of Park Hills also increased his points lead in the class by holding off Randy Forster for the victory. Kevin Mosier finished in third with Doug Savage fourth and Leonard Betsch fifth. They were followed by Kyle Stolzer, John Goodson, Donnie Mosier, Eric Sarakas and Kasey Nations.
Nations won the first heat race with Betsch second and Savage third. Kevin Mosier won the second heat with Stolzer second and Donnie Mosier third.
In the Pure Street class, Michael Abney of Belgrade captured his first feature win of the season with Josh DeSpain second, Mark Todd third, Mike Savage fourth and Chris Webb fifth. They were followed by Wayne Frymire, Theran Pearl, Jeremy Womble, Shawn Griffin and Ryan Robbins. Abney won the first heat race with DeSpain second and Savage third. Derek Shipman won the second heat with Webb second and Todd third.
The 600cc Multi feature was postponed due to rain and will be made-up this Saturday night.
This Saturday night is $5 Night. All adults will be admitted to the main grandstands for only $5 with kids 12 and under admitted free. It is also Jeffrey Londoff Attorney Night and U.S. Tool Night.
