Tony Albright takes 2nd win in a row at Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway

The Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway played host to the exciting weekly racing divisions last Saturday Night April 22 with Tony Albright of Clarksville, Tennessee picking up his second UMP Super Late Model Feature event win of the season in the Beachaven Towing sponsored mount. Albright also picked up the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series win in the Crate Late Model division. Other event winners included Charles Zimmerman in the Pro-Street division, Michael Rittenberry in the Pure Mini Stock Feature, Micah Smith of Erin, Tennessee in the Mini-Mod Feature event, Dereck King in the Outlaw Mini Spring Feature, Michael Neighbors in the Street Stock Feature, and Charles Zimmerman in the UMP Open Wheel Modified Feature event.

The UMP Super Late Models saw 14 entries taking laps in time trials with Jarryd Holshouser of Hollybush, Kentucky taking the Fast Time award with Tony Albright taking the Dash win and Matt Wilson taking the Heat Race event win. The Feature Event saw Tony Albright, who was pulling double-duty in both the Crate and Super Late Models picking up his second feature event win of the season at the Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway over David Gentry of Lewsiburg, Tennessee, Rusty Griffaw, Jarryd Holshouser, and Steven Ashby of Cunningham, Tennessee.

The StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series Crate Late Model Division saw Tony Albright of Clarksville, Tennessee picking up the win over Carnell Parker III of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Steven Ashby of Cunningham, Tennessee. Mikey Hay and Brian Caudle rounded out the top-five.

The Pro-Street Feature event was won by Charles Zimmerman over Joeseph Hamm, John Maines, Ben Britt, and Donnie Rollins rounding out the top-five.

The Pure Min-Stock Feature event was Michael Rittenberry taking the checkered flag over Richard Champagne, Michael Perrigo of Erin, Tennessee, Timothy Hunter, and Wayne Key.

The UMP Open Wheel Modified Feature event saw Charles Zimmerman, who was also pulling double-duty, pick up the feature event win over David Flowers, Curt Cherry, Anthony Garber, and Mitchell Burkhart.

The Mini-Mod Feature event winner was Micah Smith of Erin, Tennessee over Kyle Fleming, Danny Taylor, Michael Perrigo of Erin, Tennessee, and Carl Smith rounding out the top-five running order.

The Outlaw Mini-Sprint Feature event was captured by Dereck King over Kara King, Clint Collins, Les Riley, and Stephen Schnapf.

Finally, the Street Stock Feature winner of the event was Michael Neighbors of Hopkinsville, Kentucky taking the win over Jeff Joiner of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Michael Byard, Robert Phillips of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Buster Smith.

The next Dirt Track Racing event at the Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway will come up this Saturday April 29 with a Full Show of UMP Super Late Models, UMP Open Wheel Modifieds, Street Stocks, Outlaw Mini-Sprints, Mini-Mod’s, Pure Mini-Stock’s, and Pro-Street’s. The Gates Open on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. CST with Hot Lapping at 5:30 p.m. General Grandstand admission will be $14.00 for adults and Pit Passes are $25.00 for this event. Firefighters night will be this Saturday with the Crashing and Smashing of the exciting Demolition Derby taking place on race-night. Kid’s 3-legged races will also take place at the Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway this Saturday Night.

On the Drag Strip Friday Night April 28 at the Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway will be Bracket Racing with Gates opening at 5:00 p.m. with Racing at 7:00 p.m., and on Sunday afternoon April 30, Motorcycle Racing takes place with Gates opening at 10:00 a.m. and Time Trials at 12:00 p.m.
