How in the world do you have a tacky track in weather like this?? Hats off to the track for providing such a good track.I was expecting dust just because it was so hot!!I'm sure a lot of fans across the area watched a rubbered down track tonight.And i hear the drivers talking about how easy the track is on the tires.Some are running 5 nights next week and are already dreading their tire bill. Thanks again !!!!!!!!!!!!:)
 
Thank You Corey and your crew for a very good track last night! I love how it clouded up early to, talk about helping the heat..
 
Went to Tri-City last night and had a rubber down race track by the middle of the sprint heats. I know some tracks like that, but I don't. I'm sure the teams burned off some serious dollars in tires last night. We could not afford to race at that track. MOWA continues to do a great job and attract some good car counts. I think they had 30 last night, with T-Mac, Danny Smith, Bryan Brown, Chris Windom, and many, many more.

This likely can be due to running Hoosier tires. They are known for this. The Goodyears that are now run at SFCR do not seem to have this problem.

Fred is correct, We are just now changing our rightrear Goodyear that we have been running since April 2nd..it's a little worn now..LOL
 
I don't feel that the Goodyear lasts longer than the old Hoosier that we used to use....probably close to the same if not a little more wear out of the 200 Goodyear. I think it has more to do with the depth that they cut the track up there and the moister in the track. The cushion was on the wall in hot laps. It was very hot on Thursday and there was some wind....but I still prefer the SFCR track prep. If you remember back...the very first night that we ran Goodyears last year, the track was hard and dry and locked down hard in the feature. Everyone burned off everything.
