Tri-City celebrates their 50th Anniversary with Major Impovements for 2011

Tammy and Kevin, you guyz do a great job on the track, and improvements, I think it would be neat to have a room or rooms set up for pics of the track and racers that have raced there over the years from the beginning to now,, there is allot of history at that track, it would be neat to share it with the fans,, get pics from Bill Lacock, Wib spalding, Russ Wallace, CC Corbin, and others, or trophies, old helmets, drivers suits, etc,,,stuff from any drivers that raced there over the years,,OH YEA,, You too Kevin,,lol, One other thing,,,,Kevin I mentioned it before,, I would like to see the flag stand changed he is a sitting target there, he has nowhere to go if something would happen there at the flag stand,,I have seen it tore down before...hate to see it happan again,,JMO..

Your right Tri-City is not for you at all. God knows why would we want to do something for the families and
the kids... That makes no sense...the difference between you and us is we care about the track and making
improvements for drivers and fans. We will continue do improve the facility and do whatever we can to make

Well since some of you have gotten "God" and "Jesus" in the middle of this. I would think that he would like to see safety before anything else. I myself have seen 2 people break a board while getting to their seats.

Another thing, my dad is old and is slow at getting around. But we like to have a father and son dirt racing evening together once in a while. It is hard for him to get up the stands making high steps to his seat. And let along trying doing this when we leave(dark) or having to use the restroom. And no, we don't want to sit down low either...we tried it.

You can get as good a racing at any dirt track in the area... But Pevely is more for all ages in my opinion and the racing is as good or better. Example: 2010 Pepsi Nationals

So Tammy and Kevin, you make what ever improvements you want. But as long as my dad is alive and we can go to the races together, Pevely is where we will be...sorry.

i think they should paint the isle ways by the railings yellow because some people are not to bright and sit there.

I know the feeling. Especially those last few nights. Some really ignorant people with buttcracks hanging out sat in front of our section and we had to crawl over them repeatedly. Dont get why thy feel the need to sit where they know people need to walk up and down.
 
I don't remember as many people sitting in the way when the boards still had the fiberglass cover and the isles were marked.

There really is no pleasing people. This started out as Tammy and Kevin saying come out and see what we're doing for everyone, and a thank you from a fan who appreciates it and now it's a whine fest. I think the improvements are going to be great! If you don't want to get hurt or hit by something on the back wall don't stand there. Those people are in the pits so they know they can be hurt. also, nNo amount of paint in the world is going to stop someone from sitting where they want, in the isle or a seat. And as for the holes and the boards take up a collection, pass your own hats around and donate to the new bleachers, cuz the last time i checked there's no bleacher fairy. I can't wait for April 1st this year is promising already. Keep up the good work guys, because for every 1 person that complains here there are 10 more that think improvements are great.
 
So what is going on with the Battle at the Beach? It's not featured on the website anymore. Is it still on or not?

Great post! I had an awesome time there and anything they do to that joint will just make it even a better place to race and have fun.Thanks Kevin and Tammy for all the hard work and dedication you put into making the speedway one of the premier places to go. My comment about the people sitting on the end aisles wasnt for them at all. I just didnt appreciate the middle finger i got when i asked them to move so a guy who was sitting above us could get by(injured vet with prosthetic leg). I learned. Next time ill bring an air horn and make them jump out of their seats.

With the exception of Dixon Fan I think most are just giving their opinion on how to make the track even better not bashing. You are correct though about this not being the thread for such remarks so I apologize. Kevin's dad told me earlier this year I'd hardly recognize the place next season now I see what he meant. People like myself who go to Tri-City every Friday night sometimes forget how lucky we are to have this track with it's ownership to go to. For those of you who have never been to Kevin & Tammy's other track at Lake Ozark I would recommend you try it sometime. It's a first class facility and they run 360 winged sprints instead of Super Latemodels as there top class.

The best thing that ever happened was the FLAT 1/2 mile disappeared! Keep up the good work,sure the bleachers could be better but I know a fan with MS that climbs the stands every week to see racing.JMO.
 
How about the quarter midget track? When's it coming? Would be close for alot of people and I am sure it would be great racing surface!! My little guy starts this coming year and needs a nice home track!! Go Loosenutz Racing Team!!!
