Vic Hill Makes it 2 in a Row with ULTIMATE Super Win at Wythe Raceway

Rural Retreat, Virginia – Racers around the East Tennessee region had better take notice: Vic Hill is on a tear. Hill dominated a stellar field of ULTIMATE Super Late Models on Saturday night at Wythe Raceway. Hill’s win was his second in a row with the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series and his 5th overall. “Our Warrior car is just so good right now. The American Racer Tires and we have a decent engine builder and its all just working right now.” Right is putting it mildly as Hill decimated the Wythe Raceway track record and then drove away from the rest of the field, lapping up to 9th position. Only a yellow flag prevented Hill from lapping more machines. Hill led all 40 laps and was never challenged.

Hill laid down a lap of 15.863 seconds around the high-banked ½ mile eclipsing Ray Cook’s former mark of 16.082 seconds set at the Lucas Oil event last year at Wythe. Timing in 2nd quick was 17-year-old Zack Mitchell who stopped the timer at 16.168 seconds. Kennie Compton, Tim Allen and Chris Madden rounded out the top 5 in VP Race Fuels Race for the Pole Qualifying. Madden however was unable to start the feature when a plume of smoke erupted from the tail of his #44 machine on his final lap of qualifying.
