Don't give me that crap anyone can get a job. Like it or not if you want to live you need to work. Staying unemployed because it's easyer than work and living off my taxes makes me sick. It might not be a job you like but it's a honest living. Now back to the racing
 
kent you know the one guy you see him at I55 some of the time the other one one not sure about gave him suggestions but to no avail and he's about ready to lose his house 100 bucks a week don't pay the mortage I personally changed 3weeks ago my job cut me to part time again could n't make on fulltime went back to aole reliable job not what I want but does pay the bills the market is not easy yoju have to resourceful

Yea those jobs are just flowing out of the peoples ears! I was at a customers on Mon who had ran a help wanted ad. Over 350 people for 4 factory jobs that pay $8 an hour had applied at that point. Know more people out looking for work than any time in my life, sales are down everywhere, or do you like being spoon fed the cooked numbers that the MSM is shoveling down your throat?

Sorry to hijack the thread, but.......

Sales for my 4th Qtr and the first month of this year are up over 36% from same period last year, GP up also. In addition COGS is down .5% There are new biz being built everywhere in Wentzeville, MO (namely Olive Garden and I-Hop and many others) New Day Spa opening in troy, along with 2 new restaraunts and of all things an Ice Cream Shop expanded.

My son recently decided to make a career change. He is no longer managing my Troy store. Gave up his $12/hr job and put in his two week notice and went job hunting. Found another job in 3 days making $12/hr working in a warehouse. Bodine Aluminum here in Troy currently hiring Temps in for evaluation as long term hires. Son-in-law got one of those positions making 10.65/hr. will be union when he goes full time making over $15/hr.

Jobs are out there. People should quit making excuses for their own laziness and stop feeling sorry for themselves. Out of work for 2 years???????? Thats his own fault, not Obamas.


Lets continue. Dow Jones last quarter had one of the largest % increases ever. And is over 10K for the first time since when???..........Do I need to go on????????

Yes Hound I will......things are pretty peachy where I'm at. And I still have all my firearms...ammunition isn't being taxed at 400%. Were not a socialist country. Terrorist aren't pouring through our borders because someone with a muslim name is our president. We don't have a national healthcare plan yet either, now do we. No one is pulling the plug on granny. And didn't I hear something on the news just the other day about the early repayment of some government bailout money? Oh, and speaking of bailout money....remember all the moaning and groaning about the Obama stimulus package and how much it was going to cost us.....Unless I'm mistaken, less than half of that money proposed has even been spent. Wonder why? Could it possibly be that things have started to turn around? And one other thing....Its amazing that since we have no "oilman" in office, we haven't been seeing those crazy spikes in gasoline prices, let alone $4/gallon prices.

You made a big ruckus about all of these things that were going to happen as soon as Obama was elected. Should we go back and cut and past from the previous political threads and expose all the ignorance? Or do you just wanna let it go.

i have been having a heck of a time finding a machinist job that pays something decent. I keep finding places that really are not in that big of a hurry to hire people, and places that get close to 200 applicants for 1 job opening. I have talked to a few places in Chesterfield or O'Fallon but with driving more than an hour each way I would need 2 or 3 buck an hour more to work that far away. anyway, the economy stinks. they should put HUGE tariffs on imports and quotas on the number of foreign cars and other things that can come into this town. how many chevy's and ford's do you see on the streets in japan? they probably laugh at us.

So why don't you google "4th Qtr retail sales 2009" and report back to us how many businesses are reporting an increase and how many show a decrease for 4thQ 2009. Do you wear big enough panties to do that little drill?????????

King you must not get out of your store much are you would have noticed gas went up 25 cents in the last couple days.

And I wish your son-in-law well with that $15 a hour. I'm within months of having my house payed off, even then I would have to work 70 hours a week to make do on that kinda money. Dang sure wouldn't be able to take my family out for a chicken dinner very often.

Just got done buying $230 worth of grocery's. Would of took about 20 hours for that alone.

And it has been tough. Ask 1stbreak..he knows about the Troy location and the struggle I'm having there. FYI Troy store will loose approx $40K this year.
