Unofficial I-55 Results 6/13/07

The racing was mixed. Track locked down a little and Ray reworked the track. Moisture came up and the track got fast again. The midget and latemodel features where awesome. The track locked down a bit again during the sprint feature. All in all the track was smooth, but the heat worked against it especially with those big tires and big horse power putting down lots of rubber. They did an awesome job keeping up with it though. Great night of racing. Good crowd and healthy car counts. Had a little issue with the sound system on the front straight and missed Schraders entire interview and most of the last part of the latemodel feature. I called the office and told them it was off and it came on shortly after that.
 
Yes a good show. I don't follow the midgets but I thought that their A main was one of the best A mains I had seen in awhile. Late models done well other then the race for first was a run away. From 2nd back it was pretty racey. The sprint A main was good early with some guys really driving through the feild. Once the track rubbered up on the bottom it was over though.
 
Yeah that midget show was great kind of makes wish i would have seen them at Belleville earlier in the year.And it seems Kenny was sandbagging when Korte caught him in lap traffic because after that late caution he was gone again.:D:D:D
 
Kenny was having some trouble with lapped traffic. Seems that was tough for everyone all night in the latemodels. Lapped traffic dould have won that race for someone.
