www.rockauto.com USCS 600 Sprints invade Magnolia Motor Speedway on October 19th and 20th

Columbus, MS – October 7, 2012 - The
www.rockauto.com USCS 600 Sprint Car Series for winged mini sprints is set for two full nights of racing action during the USCS Fall Brawl 2012 at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on Friday and Saturday, October 19th and 20th. The events expected to draw entries from at least six states will award Championship points in the National title chase as well as the Mid-South region of the series in its second season. The two Magnolia Motor Speedway speed contests will also be an opportunity for USCS 600 drivers from the Southern region to have one last chance at improving their 2012 standings with a bonus opportunity at these events.

On Friday night the
www.rockauto.com USCS 600 Sprint Car Series joins the K&N Filters USCS Modified Touring Series Outlaw Modifieds on the racing card. On Saturday, the two USCS divisions are joined by the United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by Goodyear winged sprint cars for a USCS triple-header. Also on Saturday’s racing card will be the speedway’s Super Late Model, Nesmith Dirt Late Model, Street Stock and Mini Stock divisions.

For the mini sprints the events will pay $400 to win Friday night’s preliminary main event. Saturday night’s 20-lap final will pay $500 to the winner. A $100 Twin-Win Bonus is posted for any driver who can win the main event on both nights. The Hoosier Speed Dash for USCS 600 sprint cars will pay an additional $50 to the winner of the 6-lap contest each night. This all makes it possible for one driver to sweep $1100 over the weekend at the Magnolia pay window.

The defending
www.rockauto.com USCS 600 Sprint Car Series National Champion and veteran mini sprint racer Bobby Zaiontz from Columbus, Mississippi leads the series National point standings. 17 year-old Chris Openshaw from Bessemer, Alabama is just 88 points out of first place behind Zaiontz in the runner-up spot.
