New VCS promoter Bill Nelson encourages all drivers that plan on racing on a weekly basis in 2006 to attend a rules meeting scheduled for November 6th, 2005 at 1:00 pm at the Moose Lodge #1001 in Danville, IL.
The Moose Lodge # 1001 is located just East of the track at 12414 US Route 150. Directions to the Moose Lodge are, from I-74 in Illinois take exit #210 and go west to the Tractor Supply Store frontage road. Turn left onto the frontage road and go ¼ of a mile east and the Moose Lodge #1001 is on the right.
The following topics will be discussed, the switch to racing all weekly shows on Friday, rules for the newly formed Pure Stock class, rules for all other classes including UMP Modified, Street Stock, and Hornets. Sam Drigger or Jim McGill will be on hand from UMP to discuss the rules changes for 2006 and the new street stock and sportsman point fund.
There is a high possibility that some form of Sprint Car racing will become a weekly class at VCS in 2006, with that in mind any 600 cc Mini Sprint drivers that would like to run at VCS in 2006 should be on hand to show their support for having the class on a weekly basis. A special invite also goes to all Non Wing Sprint Car drivers that would like to run at VCS in 2006.
