Video of late model feature from Highland 4/1/17

Looks like Rusty slowed up big time for lapped traffic and Zobrist didn't react quick enough.

I think rustys car must have been hard to see from behind. The 78 ran into the back of him 2 1/2 laps earlier and almost spun himself out! Just kidding about the first sentence, he punted him. It happens occasionally at Zobrist Motorsports park.

Crash 9 guess I should have just run the lappers over ? Huh bet if it would have been the other way around you would have said it was all my fault an not a racing deal

Are you kidding me Zobrist hit Griffaw 3 times 3rd time going into turn three you can see PLAINLY he hit the gas and hit Griffaw and absolutely took him OUT

Actually Rusty, not at all. If i was running the track you probably would have gotten your spot back. I just don't think Zobrist meant to run you over. You didn't do anything wrong.

I don't think he ment to either but just seems like if you get a chance to down grade me you do I might just be a bit salty from cashing that 120$ check and fixing my car for the last two days instead of cashing that winners check and celebrating my first win in a car I built

I don't think people understand how these cars react on dirt and how tight the racing is. Chad did not hit Rusty on purpose, there is no reason to do that. Both were in contention for the win and the incident took them both out of contention. Rusty slowed getting in the corner and went from what Chad thought was Rusty going under the 15 to Rusty staying in the top groove. Chad was going into the high line and got on the brakes but it was too late. He talked to and apologized to Rusty after the race. As for Wib444's comment about Chad hitting Rusty 3 other times, I disagree and I believe Rusty would too. What you are seeing is Chad getting into the corner right behind Rusty and hitting the brakes to avoid contact and then making the car turn/setting it sideways. These cars are not like driving your everyday ford focus on asphalt. Please take this into consideration when watching the videos and the races every weekend. All of us at Zobrist Motorsports feel bad about the incident and look forward to racing with Rusty throughout the year.

Thanks,
Woody

I said one other time, it was in turn one, 2 Laps earlier. And I don't think the 78 is a dirty driver, but he gets the benefit of doubt more than others do, in my opinion. Great racing, stuff happens!
