The first special event of the season at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, IL takes place Friday, April 6. It features the American Modified Series, MOWA Sprint Cars and UMP Late Models and Micros. The three full size divisions will be racing for a top prize of $2,000 in this ninth annual event. For the first time ever you can catch every lap of the event live on RacinDirt.com.

"We're thrilled to continue our partnership with Kevin and Tammy Gundaker and Tri-City Speedway," said RacinDirt.com CEO Trenton Berry." They have been great to us, and we're excited to be back at Tri-City for a few special events this coming season. There are a lot of race tracks across the country, there aren't many like Tri -City!"

With inclement weather still persistent in the Midwest, the original opening date had to be pushed back, so April 6, will now serve as the season opener for the track, the American Modified Series and the MOWA Sprints.

The speedway features season long championship action with "Full Throttle Friday" events throughout the year, featuring UMP Sanctioned action in Late Models, Modifieds, B-Modifieds and Crate Late Models.

Other highlights for the St. Louis area track include; two visits by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, a Summer Nationals event, USAC Sprint Cars, two MARS DIRTcar events, Busch Light B-Mod Special event and the 14th Annual Summit Racing Equipment Mod Mania three day special.
