MT. Vernon Raceway will be running a special race this Wed. August 20th. Due to the Duquoin mile running Sat. Mt. Vernon Raceway will not run Sat. night. We will run a regular show for LMS, $ 1000 to win for Mods., reg show for steel block LMS,reg show for bombers and hornets. Gates will open at 3:00 p.m. Grand stands will open at 5pm, kids 6-under free, 7-10 yrs $ 4, 11- over $ 10. Pit prices will be $30. Thank you, Mt. Vernon Raceway

Mt. Vernon Pricing

I feel that the pricing for children is a bit high. I don't think a 10 year old should be paying adult prices. We had a family of 4 children that are just barely in their teens, & 2 adults. That is alot of money to get into the races & then try to keep them fed & full of drinks. Then when you just about think you are caught up, they want to ride the go carts!! .... Instead of really watching the races!!! Gosh...then you can't afford to eat all week long!! You have a really class act there but please don't ruin it by making it hard for a family to come to the races!!
