Conley Ford sponsors full race program at West Plains Motor Speedway
Conley Ford of Highland, AR, sponsored the full weekly racing program at West Plains Motor Speedway, this week. With temperatures again on the cool side, loyal fans and devoted racers enjoyed an exciting night of high geared competition and Conley Ford provided a treasure trove of doorprizes.
Bill Johns and Steve Clark, sales representatives of Conley Ford visited with the fans from the announcer's tower and Victory Lane with detail information of Ford Motor programs now in place. Johns, a racer himself, made the parade lap during the national anthem, paced the feature races in a 2005 Mustang, and presented trophies and congratulations to the winners.
In the IMCA Modified feature Billy Romans of West Plains, made it two in a row by picking up another feature win this week. Rounding out the top five were Brandon Ball of Koshkonong, MO, Chris Piper of West Plains, Scott Crigler of Alton, MO and John Mostrom of Flippin, AR.
Balance of the field included: Don Marsh of West Plains, Bryan McKee of Mtn. Home, AR, Chris Moon of Sedalia, MO, Lonnie Judd of Caulfield, MO, Danny Peterson, Calvin Tribble and Jerry Croney, all of West Plains, Kelly Marsh of Willow Springs, MO, Carmon Vincent of Moody, MO, Kevin Collins and Trent Cockrum, both of West Plains, Brian Judd of Caulfield, Richard Smith of Williford, AR, Bill Adams and David Kirkland, both of West Plains and Marty Toten of Pomona, MO.

Scoring another Hobby class feature win was Chuck Russell of West Plains, with Brian Ratliff of Hardy, AR, taking second followed by Rick Cooper of Thornfield, MO, Bobby Bryant of West Plains and Willy Walker of Houston, MO.

This week officials agreed to combine the Front Wheel Drive and Mini Stock classifications and a first time winner emerged from the feature event when Steve Farris took the checkered flag honors. Rounding out the top five were Mike Harrill of West Plains, Mark Shockley of Flippin, AR, Patrick Reed of Mtn. View, MO, and Kyle Katcher of Bull Shoals, AR.

Next Saturday night will be the Edgeller and Harper Farm Equipment Race Night, all classes will be running including the new combined FWD and Mini-Stock class.
