Ok i know this was the first time for the
New concessions but first off the line was long and i was talking to a girl that was in line for 45 mins and she still dont have a order and i whent down 3 times to get a soda and the line was way to long so when the red flag was out i walked to the
back straightway concessions and got my sodas. And i was tould that there was no menu on the front straightway and no prices..so what is yours thoughts on the New concessions.........But over all the racing was great!!!!!!!!!

Let me preface this so at least everyone understands. The situation we have currently is a mess. The previous person made it a nightmare to take over. The new guy has been there for a week. I will be the first to tell you it was wrong. I also asked to be patient with us through the transition. We have a plan that will take a few weeks to get put into place. No one should be waiting 3 minutes for food or a drink, let alone 45. We all understand the frustration. And I don't expect everyone to understand. But we always strive for the best service. It will get there. It will get done and setup right. Again, I apologize to everyone for the wait. I hope you at least enjoyed the great tasting food we do have now.

Thank you,

It was good food Joe. The huge crowd on their first race probably didn't help them any. Hope they get faster.

You tell 'em Joe. The food was really good. I'm sure that you saw the problem and will rectify asap. If I may make one suggestion; it might be a good idea to reopen the concession stand in the pits. That being said, I don't go to any track for the food, I go for the racing; which was outstanding. As far as my opinion goes, you guys done good!

so what was going on over the winter? you don't wait until the week before opening date to start up a new business. with all the hipe of a new and better change I see nothing.

I think the contract for the other group only expired a week ago. It was a whole lot better than in years past. KEEP it up Belle Claire Promotions! good job

What didn't you understand about the guy taking over just a week ago??? Crawl back under your rock!

Did anyone go to the concession stand in the pit area. The guy working it said it wasn't set up yet. Understandable. But on the menu board it advertised a 1/3 pound rat. Any ideas?

i agree, they need to stock the pit stand,,not a complete menu but enough to serve the racers and crew,,they could have a small grill like they have a fayette co.. by the pit stand,,they would vend enough food to have a cook and server there,,as for no menu's,even a rough hand written one would have been nice,,at least the servers where polite...

No one is going to deny that, from a logistical standpoint, last night was a cluster!@#$. But I bet before long, word will get out that Belleville has some of the best concessions of any track in the country. I mean, come on, did you ever think you would be able to get shrimp kabobs or grilled asparagus at a dirt track?

well it appears to me the back straight got the shaft again. the buffet was on the front stretch all the back straight had was hamburgers with no cheese and hot dogs! heck i can get that at qt right down the road. not real sure what the front straight people do or if its to much work for them to bring it over but the back straight people pay the same price as thge front straight people and all we had back there was hamburgers and hot dogs! are you serious?! if thats the way its going to be from here on out then maybe the back stretch should only have to pay half price to get in or maybe even get in for free! right now this new vendor is no better than pig and puke! better step up by openingnight or most will be eating buffets somewhere else just like during the red flag last night i walked to mcdonalds due to the poor service and a official from the track was in there getting food! sdo whats that tell ya

Whos cares about shrimp kabobs or grilled asparagus at a dirt track? I sure dont!!! The new crew is setting themselves up to fail with a menu like that, do hamburgers, hotdogs and nachos simple and fast! when you can do that right then add items.

yea....make up all the excuses you want....theres no excuse for the long lines...and no hamburgers on the front stretch most of the time...how hard is it to grill hamburgers or hot dogs fast ?.....i dont go for the food either...but i stood in line for 15 minutes to get a soda...thats ridiculous !...and they were only using one register...couldve thought about it and offered just drinks at one register to thin out the line......with all the hype for the show and the time to get ready for it...come on !...the racing was great !

It was the first night for a crew that had a week to prepare. It is hard to gauge a crowd without previous data to go by. I used to manage two of the stands at the Grizzlies. I know that I was far more efficient after I had four years of data in my notebook (how much to cook vs. attendance vs. temperature). Give them a few weeks. It will get better.

As far as the red flag goes: no concession worker would have had enough food prepped for a fifth or more of the total attendance hitting the stand in a half hour period. They were probably just starting to prep for intermission. If you have too much prepped food in reserve than you end up serving cold food (that makes everyone unhappy). It is harder than you thing to manage a crowd like that.

Personally, I sat on the backstretch and walked to the front to get food. Yes I had to wait in line, but the shrimp were amazing (and I did appreciate shrimp and artichoke being available on Friday for us Catholics).

I'm willing to give them a leeway on getting it right. It will probably take a half season or more before they get the system down perfect. Service will speed up, the food is already great. I'm happy.

Good Job Guys!

Give them credit for coming on here and explaining there self. Heck its the first night and you guys want to hang em on the cross already. I seen a lot of improvements there and just happy to see some good racing in the middle of march..
