Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Tennessee currently has a web site ( www.winchesterspeedwaytn.com ) and the 2004 Season schedule and rules are posted. The First event will be only 7 weeks away with the running of the second annual WinterFest on saturday afternoon, February 14th. This will be one of three Super Late Model races and will pay $3,000 to win and $250 to start. Open wheel modifieds are IMCA Type rules and will pay $700 to win and pay all 24 starters. Super Stocks will pay $400 to win, Outlaw Ponys will pay $350 to win , Mini Stocks will pay $300 to win and the Pure Stocks will pay $200 to win on the 14th of February. Gates will open Saturday the 14th of February at 10:00 AM, driver's meeting at 12:30 PM, Hot Laps and Drawing cutoff at 1:00 PM. Time Trials and racing to follow. The LM feature will be the second featuire of the day to assist all traveling racers in their return home. Happy New Year to all and good luck in 2004.

I) Late Model Rules for "WinterFest" Late Model show:
*Open Engines = 2,300 lbs. With 8 inch spoiler
*Spec Engines(IMCA/SAS/SUPR) = 2,200 lbs with 12" spoiler
*Spec engines with open intake = 2,250 lbs with 12" spoiler
*362 Steel Block/head (stock valve angle only) with no porting or polishing of heads, flat top pistons, flat tappet cam = 2,200 lbs with 12" spoiler (This engine is the track rule steel head engine)
Gas or Alcohol / Any Front tire / Any brand rear tire that sticks 60 or greater (we only check rear tires and we check prior to time trials and events).

Practice added to "WinterFest" - -

"Open Practice" on Friday, February 13th - Gates open at 5:00PM, practice from 6:00 PM 'till ?? - Speedway grounds will remain open on Friday night for any out of town racers who wish to stay / camp overnight.
