ALLEN, TX (December 23) – World of Outlaws Racing has granted a request by Boundless Motor Sports Racing, Inc., to extend the period by which the company will purchase sprint car racing’s premier series, Founder and President Ted Johnson announced Tuesday.
Johnson, who will remain president, appointed Paul Kruger of Boundless interim chief executive officer of the World of Outlaws. The extension gives Boundless until April 9, 2004, to complete its purchase of the 26-year-old series. Johnson and Kruger will work together during the interim period.
Johnson also announced following the World of Outlaws "Down Under" event at Parramatta City Raceway in Sydney, Australia, January 8-10, the series will race at Manzanita Speedway February 20-21. The series will release its complete schedule soon after the first of the year.
