I was on board with $5 general admission for fans but $30 for a pit pass?
 
Look at it this way. You pay your 30 dollars for your pit pass . And your wife can get in the stands for 5 dollars. So in turn that makes you pit pass 25 dollars or less.
 
Good way to bring in fans that will come weekly! Will sell more consessions for sure! Wish other tracks would look at it like this. More people in the stands paying less equals about same $ at the gate but stands will have probably twice as many people, and most with a little more cash to spend!

And if I buy more than one pit pass? To me if I'm paying an extra $5 for a pass I would expect more for my $$ Thats just me, the drivers should be getting in free to begin with.
 
Hell at least CCS is trying! Dont see any other track trying to help anyone out. Cant make everyone happy I guess. But they should have a packed house with $5 a person.

Hey I agree, a packed house should definitely not need a $30 pit pass. Put a show on without the drivers and crew.
 
I don't see where $30 is that high to get into a race. That JMO.
like someone said at least they are going to try and be open for "The Racers" to have a place to race at this year. It could be worse they could have a demolishion party with free admission. Also no track will ever and should never let the drivers in for free unless there is no payout. AGAIN THIS IS JUST MY OPINION. No one elses. I loved racing there when i was in the modifieds.

Why should the driver never be let in for free? Are they not the entertainers? Yeah I know about the whole "pit passes are for insurance "....
 
JPR i just though of a deal that might work for you. The track could let you in for a $25.00 pit pass and the rest of your party can pay $15.00 to get in the stands.

Would that work for you?

No, my party is in the pits with me. I'm not disagreeing to just argue. It just makes no sense to me to charge the competitors more.
 
Thanks all for u alls input and even considering Clay County this year.
First I am trying to help make things go smoothly here helping with reduced general admission and lower prices for kids in pits, to try to keep family together. While doing this hope on the other end I can make a buck or two.
As for as crate and super stock, here again just trying to help this class survive. I want crates weekly but do not know if there is enough to go around, soooo I thought maybe run super stocks with them, kinda like crates or maybe any fast street stocks that does not pass the UMP banner???? Can not hurt for trying.
As for payouts, looking at non-wing sprints $700/150 UMP mods $600/75 UMP crate/ss $450/60 UMP street stock $300/40 UMP pure stock $175/30 and UMP hornets/minis $150/30

I've never been to this track, but for $5 and sprints without the stupid wings it might be a good time for me and the wife to jump on our Harleys and take a little Saturday night ride.
