Yeley To Compete In Mopar Sprint Car Nationals

Center Line, Mich. - J.J. Yeley has been confirmed as a competitor in the Mopar Sprint Car Nationals event at The Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway on October 13. Yeley is slated to drive the No. 75 machine owned by Mopar engine builder Gary Stanton. In 2003 Yeley became the second driver in history to win the USAC Triple Crown, earning the USAC National Sprint, Midget and Silver Crown Series titles.

Yeley currently competes for Joe Gibbs Racing in the NASCAR Busch Grand National and Nextel Cup Series. While driving for Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises in 2003, Yeley won an unprecedented 24 USAC National Series events, breaking a record that had been established by A.J. Foyt Jr. in 1961.

The Mopar Sprint Car Nationals will kick off NASCAR's UAW-GM 500 event weekend, which includes Bojangles' Pole Night for the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series and the Charlotte ASA Inaugural events on October 14. The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie 300 NASCAR Busch Series event will run on October 15; the UAW-GM 500, featuring the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series stars, will wrap up the weekend on October 16.
