hey bud youve wanted it and raced for it all year and now you finally did it we are all proud of you mike you had a great year its about time someone from illinois finally won your the man! :D

may have to wait on calculations...

If it was a 1.5 pts per race which with 163 cars, it indeed was.

Mike was +4 going in, got 4.5 for the heat, and 27 for the feature. for a total gain of 35.5 points

Leka got 3 for his heat finish, and 34.5 in the feature for a total gain of 37.5
thus giving him the championship by 2 pts.

Will have to wait for the post race audit...

The U.M.P. 2004 Official Point Season for the Open Wheel Modifieds begins on Friday, April 16, and ends on Sunday, September 26. Each U.M.P. Open Wheel Modified drivers count their single (1) best finish each week. No more than 23 for the year.

Point weeks begin on Monday and end on Sunday.

The only point race on October 8-10 will be the U.M.P. Nationals. This event is a replacement event for all modified drivers having raced the 23 regular weeks of the point season.

yes it was just a replacement night i belive harrison won it

Harrison won it

Feature:
1. 60 points
2. 53 points
3. 48 points
4. 43 points
5. 40 points
6. 35 points
7. 32 points
8. 29 points
9. 26 points
10. 23 points
Everyone else in feature 18 points

Everyone attending with operable car and not making the feature get 10 points.

Modifieds count one (1) additional event from heats or consi only. 1st. 4 points, 2nd. 3 points, 3rd. 2 points, 4th. 1 point

If the total number of cars signed in for an event reaches 100 thru 199, the above feature, heat and consi points are multiplied times 1.5

If the total number of cars signed in for an event reaches 200 or more, the above feature, heat and consi points are multiplied times 2

Harrison did win the Championship...

You have to remember, it was only a replacement week. The only way this race would have affected the outcome of the points was if the top 3 would have finished in the top 5 of the feature and got enough points to replace a previous weeks finish.

So what you are saying is that neither of these guys posted a finish outside the top 5 all year ??

Does anyone know the worst finish either of them counted this year?
