Thanks for the replies so far. I hope it helps others as well. I agree on never cutting corners on safety equipment.

I am looking to upgrade my safety equipment for next year. I used a hans device last year that was a friends and got used to it. I was curious as to what everybody prefers, and hans, hybrix or defnder. I know less people use the defnder, and but I have heard it was more comfortable and better...
Wish I would be able to make it up there for the race! Hope there are some videos of it because it is going to be some great racing in honor of a great race fan!

Agreed! That was one of the reasons fans and racers loved the track. The banking led to very exciting, close and good racing.
Either way, I am glad to see the track reopening. Cant wait to run there again!

I hope they are! I know of some of ministock guys that still have their cars in their garages from when the track closed down. I have had a couple ask me if they will be able to run there.

ULMA runs at Callaway and Lucas Oil. With great car counts each week. Where have the Quincy supers been running at on Sat? Are there no other tracks running supers on Sat night within 2 hours of Quincy?
I am planning on doing what I can to support MCS either way, I am just waiting for the...
Since it is UMP sanctioned, I doubt they will let the d55's run.. Prob go to just lm40 and lm20's..
Casey, estimated open date? We are all itching to go and in the meantime have to bounce around to other tracks..
I do hope they are open to looking at the sportsman class.. i know a bunch of...
Agreed. And the show is well organized, quickly ran with no big amount of downtime. CMS where we raced last year had everything down great. Good car counts and even with it being a 2.5hr drive home, we were home by 1am most weekends.
Also, most tracks have a good variety of classes. I think...
If they ran ULMA and sportsman at MCS, that would be about the same payout as the super late models alone. And from the responses on the other threads lately, it looks like there would be a good car count in both classes. Plus under the ULMA rules, crates can run with the ULMA and the only...

We ran with the ULMA late models the last 3 years with our crate. They have rules that let them run a limited engine (stock valve angle, steel block) or you can run a crate motor. Depending on the motor and heads determines how much you have to weigh. They also...
From the Lowry Racing Team:
If they race Sportsman on MCS, then we plan on bringing two cars there each night with the possibility of a third car.
Thank you
