Weather killed it.. But honestly we had the perfect amount with the weather the way it was. 3 minutes after victory lane ceremonies the floods came. Incredible racing in the Modified feature though. Nicely and Kissinger stayed side by side for 39 laps.
We're expecting a talented field of cars, and hoping to break last years car count of 49! If the racing is even half as good as the feature was this past Saturday night, the fans will be in for a treat...
Yes, the dust was bad. Yes, the track was rough in a few spots. Yes, some of the food is overpriced. It's funny that people are complaining about these problems because 1) You have to be idiotic to think that any track in the nation could have hot laps at 3 in the afternoon on a 80 degree day...
Just now getting a chance to get on here after hitting 3 races this weekend and finally getting caught up on my sleep this morning and going to class... Job well done to Don and the staff at BCS this past Friday night! Thank you for not throwing the towel in due to a little rain and cold temps...
I'm hoping the weather holds off long enough to get both shows in tomorrow! My question is which will be the show to be at? I've been to both many times and rarely seen a bad show at either. How y'all in the area decide which of these great tracks to go to when both are so close, I'll never...
Probably 0. This year it is more important to get the gates open and establish yourself before putting on a huge show like the NDRL show was going to be. It's better for everyone that it was cancelled IMO.
I remember this race like it was yesterday. Jake Griffin put on a show the entire night! Everyone there wanted to see him get that win. Came up just short but it wasn't because of a lack of effort. It sucks that the Latemodel feature was so horrible that night though.
I find it hard to believe that Clayhill is on this schedule, much less a $1,500 to win show. Guess we'll see what happens once we get closer to summer...
I think over the course of the series I have seen shows at Farmington, Tri State, Clarksville, Paducah, and Poplar Bluff (probably leaving out a couple) and all of them were top notch events. Hate to see the series move but the Voigt's did a great job with it.
Wish we had car counts that "bad" for weekly shows down here. On a typical Saturday night last year at Camden and Atwood each would have 2-12 Crates, 4-10 Modifieds, 5-12 Emods, etc. This year they are alternating Saturdays so it will be better hopefully. Be thankful for what you have in I55...
Clarksville (TN) Speedway is racing this Friday and Saturday.
Street Stock pays $1,000 to win Friday and $2,000 Saturday.
