2012 b-mod rules

Once again everybody wants to talk before they read the rules there is no rule on schrader valves in the B MOD class !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really?

9. SHOCKS: One steel non-adjustable unaltered shock per wheel. One additional shock allowed on rear suspension. No bumpers or stops, no threaded body, front coil over, air or remote reservoir shocks. Front half may be shielded.

After rereading the rules that were updated last year, I will have to say that it looks like the schrader valve shocks are illegal. I do believe with all the statements about not teching the cars enough or teching them correctly, I think I will be finishing 6th place all season. All this post is doing is making the techman mad, it will be sad when he starts pulling intakes every Saturday night to look for roller cams/lifters. I sure hope it does not go to that because it is easy to look down thru the heads. As far as changing the cars from 4 link to 3 link, all it would take is clamping the bird cages up.This will hopefully be something that the track asked ALL the limited mod drivers about for their imput early in the season for 2013. Most of the tracks that run limited mods are on the 3 link/ leaf spring rule. I personnally don't care which way it goes, my car is a clamped up 4 link Z link. This is just a thought about expence. Our 2011 track champion car is a 3 link. This would eliminate some of the expence of big cubic inch motors . After all this is a LIMITED modified class.

Kenny you are correct about clamping the birdcages to use the car as a 3 link. I should have explained my previous post more. Some of the other tracks require a "steel" 3 link bracket welded to the rear end. Then if you want to go run a track that allows 4 link you have to go through a lot of changes. If a simple rule of allowing a guy to run a bolt through his bird cage is put in place that would make it easier to convert from one track to another. As far as big motors I'm putting my big cube motor on the shelf and putting the 358 back in. Hope to see you guys at Farmington this year.

joe gieslers 3 link car is still for sale and was still winning races in the ump a mods at the rock, older car but still fast if anyone is interested call him at 573-576-8939 cheap! but my point on shocks is you dont need the fancy stuff to win even if its legal and i believe kyles championship car is a 1997 dw7 dirtworks 3link gotta luv it.

what if you put a claim back on the motors would that help with all of the complaining just go race and have fun doing it so thay can get more people in the stand so we can keep racing for many years down the road
