The racing was excellent and I am in no way unhappy with the shortening of the race. The drivers are the ones who decided to shorten the race, not the promoter. It was my first time to Tri-City in years and I plan on going back more frequently next year. The promoter at Tri City is to be commended on the job of making the race track a showplace. I am not a fan of a dry slick track, but even dry slick the place stayed racy. Maybe a couple hundred loads of that Mississippi river bottom could cure that problem. I left the race track satisfied with the racing, which is more than I can say for a lot of places I went to this year. For those of you that will not be back next year because of a race being shortened ten laps....good that will leave more room for me and the added people I will bring with me.
