A.AR.A FALL NATIONALS AT I-55 Raceway

I understand about the lap money and that's good but with the lap money is their any way to know what would be the most someone can earn. ok this started out at most they could earn was $9,000 then $7,500 and now $1,000 plus lap money and also if they are 40 pro 4's the winner will get $1,000 are you kidding me this was set up so the sportsman would have a big money show the winner in the sportsman should be able to earn no less than $6,000 this is not good.

you got the extra jack and why pay that much when you only get maybe 30 cars time s have change with addition of b mods in the area crate late models also

There used to be 60+ Sportsman in the area with all the other tracks running them too.. Now they'll be lucky to get a full field.. That huge payout of 6 or 7 years ago will most likely never happen again unless there is some huge revitalization of the Sportsman class.

But as with everything, let's just find a reason to b*tch...

so could someone answer my question about is their any way to know about how much the winner could get not griping just wanted to know

I believe what I heard is its a 1,000 to win, with the possibility of winning 5,000 if you lead every lap. But I cant confirm that.

Thanks to AARA for putting this race on for the sportsman. We had a great time and enjoyed racing for a good purse. Sportsman cars are being bought and built as we speak so dont give up on the class. Theres never NOT been people saying the class is dying out but new cars keep showing up. Thanks, Chuck Goodman 327

With the emergence of b mods I dont expect sportsman cars to survive much longer. Its an easy conversion.

But Mark my words. The b mod class is doomed if a good fair and low cost set of rules is not established and enforced by 2016

There is a low cost set of rules for the B mods! That's why there are so many. How can that be so difficult to see. Street Stocks are dying because that kind of car doesn't exist on the street anymore. No more donor cars out there. That makes them more expensive than a b mod. Tons of old a mods for cheap though. The more rules you add-the more expensive a b mod will become.

if ump mandates crate motors I for one am done with that class--and I own 3 running g b-mods--the 54 car that is a front running b-mod at highland ran 12th. Friday on a lower buck motor-I run the 27 car in the a-mods most of the time (mostly with the 2 barrel) mainly for trhe higher pay in the a class-it has a 750$ short block-175$ set of heads--I like the option of being able to run with the b-mods when I feel like it--the 47 car has a 25 year old motor that I had freshened up last year...I would think most b-mod racers are of the same mindset--JMO lenny fireball garson
