Not to shoot down your idea, but I don't think many drivers would get very excited about making the haul to a track, and all that is involved, just to run one race (the feature). Also, without a heat (and without hot laps, as Tri-City doesn't usually let the hornets hot lap), you would have no idea how the car is going to handle on the track that night and no chance to test a setup prior to the feature. Not only would the starting order be totally random, but you could do no more than a "best guess" regarding setup.
