Best Modified driver in Missouri

i agree......best in missouri,i still say payne,weber....we could also ask everyones opinion of who is on top of their game in missouri for 08'...

i'm fairly new here but wasn't this a mod thread.? anyway what an arguement.. hound never been on the bus and talkin' $#!+. i was there in sept with the bus folks. good luck on your $100 trip hound. bread and water 4 you....
here will put it this way 3 people are freind going together on the bus@ 200 a piece I really don'tTHINK we will spend 600 bucks on our trip will we and far as payne let's see where he stacks up in points at the end of the year

i guess it looks like everyone is right, you don't think before you speak. gas, even if you split it 3 ways will take about $70 per person 1 way. food, its not free, even though you may think it is, $50 per person.. ticket to races, $50 more. where you sleeping? free camping? sounds like you did stay in hotel. $100 a night?? this just gets you there. need fuel to get home too.:D weber is my choice

LET'SEE 37 MILE TO A GALLON GO INTO 800 HOW MANY TIMES WITH 100 DOLLAR GAS CARD UNLESGAS GETS 6 BUCKS A GALLON i THINK WE COULD MAKE IT BUDDY PAYS FORTHE MOTEL HEY i GOT 160 BUCKS TO SPEND ON NICK NACKS

missouri boys made up 3 of the top 5 cars down at EASTBAY in FLORIDA,and won 3 or 4 of the nights!!!

hows that for out of state racin..most of your central missouri boys dont go to illinois or you would see them winning their too..and your stl area guys dont come out this way either...

Maybe some promoters should get together and have a couple Illinois/Missouri shootouts. Not on the border tracks, but a central state location. Put up some money and just see who collects.

Rick Kimberling is one driver who should never be counted out when he unloads. Gary Blackburn Jr has had some success travellling. Steve Payne is untested beyond his home tracks but can't be counted out. Jesse Stovall.
Rex Merrit. Around KC Buddy Benedict. Jim Marrant, Jim Cameron, Yancy Shepard, Dean Wray. Every one of those guys have won numerous track championships. Rex Merrit is a past national IMCA Modified Champion. Several were regional IMCA Champs as well. Marrant did the NASCAR Mods at I-70 on the pavement for years.

Like one earlier post said, beyond West of St Louis there are few weekly Super Late Models as featured classes, and the Mods are king. There are at least 100 Missouri Mod Drivers who are capable of winning any night, anywhere they want to race.

ticket.. food.. i thought you were splitting the costs with 3 "buddies" you need to add all the $ they spend also. just because you get off easy with a $100 gas card doesn't mean someone else was covering the rest. you said you were going with 3 buddies and comparing it to 3 people on the bus at $600. count again.

Please tell me what VAN gets 37 miles to the gallon. Now he is staying in a Motel when if you re-read what he has already said they were going to be staying in a Van. It cost to camp up there by the track and I heard it isn't that cheap.

ticket is a given food will be no problem trust me

At some point you had to buy the food you are bring so you have to figure that also.

I would still love to know what van gets 37 miles to the gallon.

like I pm kent the bus tour is alright just have an issue with the hotel so we go a different way .I 've been there enough time you put blinders on me and make me walk backwards and still be able to get therewith no map

they both still cost money. and if you are talking about all the money you would "waste" on the bus trip shouldn't that be figured in. besides there is 1 meal the tour gives us as part of the deal. all other food is on us. after the dream we should put the totals together and see who spent more. save your receipts. by most of the posts i see you can be a little forgetful...:D
