Big Tim Lewis Memorial at Rt 45 Raceway July 24-25

1 more day till one of the biggest mod races in this area will be happening.. The excitement is unbelievable as we all await the best modified drivers in the country take the track at Route 45 Raceway here in Flora IL.. Reminder hot laps start at 7:00 and racing will start at 8:00.. Give everyone time to travel to this spectacular race.. This is a must see show..
 
Rumor flying around was that the Route 45 Raceway was charging a track membership.... That is false... They do NOT charge for special events.... Please pass word along as some think that there is a track membership fee.... There will be NO TRACK MEMBERSHIP FEE during this weekend special race..
 
I just made 6 dozen "Race Track Chocolate Chip Cookies" for Flora.

Normally, I get 144 cookies out of this recipe, but it's late (midnight now) and I wanted to get them done, so I used the bigger cookie scoop which makes larger cookies, but half as many. Just go to Jimmy's trailer an ask for a cookie. Enjoy!

The entire staff of Route 45 Raceway has put in countess hours preparing for one of the greatest shows in the Midwest! The greatest part is that it's an event to honor a great person who has done so much for people in this area and the local racer. Tonight and tomorrow night...we salute him...Big Tim Lewis! Come support this great event and show just how strong our racing family is! The best of the best will do battle for 2 straight nights! It's GO TIME!

Is it better to take Route 50 or stay on Interstate 64
Coming from Fairview Heights. Mapquest says staying on 64 in about 30 minutes longer

This is what racing was like all night... Track turned out awesome... 3 wide and at times it was 4 wide..... Going to do it all over again tonight.... You better make a trip over tonight... More drivers expected to run the Saturday portion of the races
