Bloomer gives Pearson jr. the BOOT!

LOL! I dunno but i guess it was legal because the officials were standing right there!

The Pepsi Nationals at I-55 are co-sanctioned, UMP and WoO. $10,000 to win, $25 general admission. It is a points race for the WoO boys as well as UMP, so you can expect a star class of cars September 18.

"New York" modifieds? D.I.R.T. mods run everywhere from the Middle Atlantic to French Quebec, dirttrackracer. I guess those were "llinois Late Models" down there last night. :)

I've always heard them referred to as East Coast Modifieds. Probably not politically correct either.

I have always heard the kind he runs called that too! They arent like the ones we have around here they are what i have always heard called east coast modifieds!

I saw the thing as it happened right where i was...looked like pearson got off sideways and Bloomquist, trying to move his line down tagged him..and at that speed its gonna send you flyin out of control...im sure bloomquist didnt do it on purpose, as he doesnt have to do that to win..and im sure he didnt want to tear up his race car as that what cost him the win... also Pearson was blocking like crazy..he was doing a good job of it too..that may have lead to the reason he wrecked...I wanted to see Pearson win..its a shame he didnt but Lanagan had a fast race car and congrats to him..

Glad to see Craig Smith make it out okay after he hit the guardrail and hopped the fence...and Glad to see Tim Mcreadie again, havent seen him since the WoO's in florida earlier this year...hes a very good race car driver and a nice guy. Oh Brandon Paul, i dont see why you have to be a smart *** about it, we all know he meant the DIRT mods AKA East Coast mods and New York Mods...im sure you have never been to one of the tracks they race at either. But of course you still think you know everything...

Technically, they aren't just DIRT Modifieds... DIRT is just one of several sanctioning bodies for those types of cars.

My dad ran those type of cars in Texas and they were known as NTRA Modifieds.

Yes, thats true but i believe a guy was talking about Tim McCreadie running the DIRT sanctioning body...i saw them in florida for the first time live at a track..2 or 3 years ago...they are really neat looking cars.

How can they run Goodyears? I thought it was Hoosier only for this series.

Bloomer/Pearson - who was charged with the yellow? No way it shoud have been Pearson and Bloomer wasn't sent to the back, so what the heck??

Best race I seen, not even close to it....pretty darn good - yes.

In my own opinion it was Bloomers fault. I do think that Pearson jr was at some times blocking or trying to find a faster line, BUT Bloomer can't handle losing because he is so used to winning EVERYTHING!!!! Great race though. I went to west plains 2 years ago (i think) and it was soo boring. I would definately pay $50 again for a race like that. I thought it was uncalled for when the lady threw cups over the fence(or tried). One thing that I did NOT like about last night was the creepy men sitting in front of us, one of them were taking pictures of young girls as they walked by. I talked to one girl and she was only 15!!! was that wrong or is it just me?
