Bmods??

" Bottom line if you win with a crate engine, people are always going to assume you're cheating somehow within the bolts." Finally some truth. I among several others know this is true. I was guilty of saying it as well until we put a legal crate in. Now I understand.

I don't necessarily agree with this. Some of the crates I believe are stock.

While others... well.. it's blatantly obvious they are not. 7400+ RPM is an awful lot for a stock "legal" crate to handle.

I-55 now has a carb spacer built for teching 602 crates. It has a connection to allow them to check vacuum. They know what a legal 602 crate should pull for vacuum..

It may not tell them what is illegal on the 602 crate, but it will tell them something is wrong.. So if they check you and you are not with the numbers for vacuum, you'll be tearing it down further..

Interesting, who buys the bolts? I bet it would be easy to make 35 more horsepower yet still pull vacuum.

put in an upgraded ignition module, 10-20lb heavier springs with stamp steel 1.6 rockers, who would know right? they ought to just make it a rule for all to be able to run these parts

i still say anyone should be able to put a 4150 carb on any motor, and yous want equalisation, then go to the pit shack and claim it

and it ain't the track promoters job to provide a motor, so yous want an entry level class which is why the claims need to be based around an entry level fee, and all yous who think a little hole in the wall garage can't build motors, yous got another thing coming, tracks like belleville ought to be growing up in weeds like godfrey in the next few years, why not try harder to push the crate motors on your Amods and late model classes, let me guess? they won't put up with the bs either?

Sounds to me someone else is tired of the cry baby stuff going on with the b-mods! You know what I find funny? I have $3658.28 wrapped up in my street stock motor and i wouldn't be afraid to put a aluminum intake on it with a 2 barrel holly and run it with the b-mod open motors! With the right car and set up and the right driver I believe it would be a winning motor and there is not anything special about that motor at all! It's just funny how this class I has been around for over 4 years now and the entire time it has been around there has been nothing but controversie and crying about the class! I honestly don't see why a promoter would even have this class with all of that going on!

Because the class draws 20 plus cars a night at most tracks to comment on the crate deal if they would make them run the 6200 chip like all other sanctioning bodies do u think the better springs would make a difference prolly not then ask yourself why the open motors at other sanctioning bodies give the weight break to the open motor guys maybe open motors need a chip rule also we will never know if we don't put cars on the track and do some testing
